The Role
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will lead the development and management of complex contracts within a high-profile engineering project.

Providing expert risk assessment and mitigation strategies for contractual obligations, you will maintain robust tracking systems to monitor performance.

About You

Williamson Park attracts over 500,000 visitors a year and is one of the North West’s premier tourist attractions as recognised by Visit England. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic manager to lead the parks management team in taking the park to the next level. The role requires a confident leader, who possesses expertise in people management, passion for the environment and heritage, and enthusiasm for delivering the best possible service to our residents and visitors.
Williamson Park offers a friendly, dynamic and passionate multi-functional team which is focussed on delivery and problem solving to ensure we offer the best visitor experience. Leading the parks management team, you will be expected to lead on developing the site to its full potential, driving our vision and delivering outcomes on environment, communities and economy. The post holder will need to offer business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset to assist in income generation throughout all areas of the business. &nbsp;
The successful candidate will need to be calm under pressure and be easily adaptable to changing environment while focussing on deadlines. Weekend working will be expected of the post holder, when necessary.
This post is permanent. The hours of work for this position are 37 per week, to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays in line with business need. This post is based at Williamson Park.

As our Contracts and Compliance Team Leader, you’ll manage a diverse and complex portfolio of technical contracts, including crucial systems like fire alarms, access control, CCTV, and electrical distribution. Your core responsibility will be to ensure compliance with contract conditions and regulations, driving performance and consistently meeting KPI’s.
This vital role involves managing projects and budgets, all while upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. You’ll be instrumental in procuring and managing contracts, ensuring value for money and strict adherence to current legislation. Beyond direct contract oversight, you’ll contribute to the strategic development of M&amp;E contracts, focusing on continuous improvement and long-term value.

Your leadership will ensure your team delivers their duties effectively, as you regularly monitor performance against key service-wide targets.
<h3>About the Team</h3>
You’ll be joining our dedicated Mechanical &amp; Electrical (M&amp;E) Team, a vital part of our operations comprised of six skilled professionals. Reporting directly to the Technical Contracts &amp; Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading two direct reports. Your leadership will be key in overseeing their day-to-day work, managing a substantial portfolio of contracts and budgets valued at approximately £5 million, which includes both significant capital projects and various ad-hoc works.
<h3>About You</h3>
You’ll be a highly experienced professional with an extensive background in M&amp;E services, specifically in the installation, maintenance, and day-to-day management of relevant systems. A clear understanding of current laws, regulations, and statutory instruments related to consumer protection and Health and Safety is essential. You’ll ideally have extensive relevant work experience or HNC in Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) or be actively working towards this qualification.
We’re looking for someone with proven staff management and contract management skills, including the ability to confidently lead technical officers, external consultants, and contractors within a performance-driven culture. You’ll have a strong grasp of budget and cost awareness, coupled with the ability to monitor and control budgets effectively and utilise complex systems.
Crucially, you’ll have experience of working with residents, involving them in monitoring and shaping services, and a background in implementing quality systems. Knowledge and experience of partnering, procurement mechanisms, and best management practices are also key. Finally, you’ll need the flexibility to travel to sites regularly to meet contractors, staff, and inspect jobs to ensure they meet our high standards.

Our Building Compliance team in Property Services is looking for an experienced Compliance Engagement Officer to join their established team. This is a great opportunity for an internal applicant to join the team on a secondment or acting up basis until October 2026.
The aim is to help provide an efficient, effective and responsive, housing enforcement service.&nbsp;The primary function of the role is to ensure access is obtained to all properties through the most appropriate method in accordance with ‘best practice’ and housing and health and safety legislation. To control and manage cases through dialogue; persuasion; negotiation; problem solving and encouragement.
The role will involve effectively conducting access to properties in the execution of access warrants or injunction.
Within the role, it is expected that the individual will visit properties where access has not been obtained by our contractor, for the purpose of completing the annual gas service or compliance survey and to make arrangements for completion of the outstanding inspection. It is anticipated that the role will require someone to be attending individual properties and potentially attending court for approximately 50% of the working week on average.
This position will be responsible for no access properties from the moment they are sent to use from the contractor, to the point of gaining access to complete the necessary checks. This will include, liaising with contractors, liaising with internal stakeholders and being the person responsible for arranging combined visits when required.&nbsp;
There will be an expectation within this role to assist in the production of publicity and information material including leaflets for customers.&nbsp; Contributing to the development of clear communication for the benefit of our customers and service.
To carry out personal observations, obtain photographic, audio, or video evidence, incorporate the same into report and witness statements, and to attend court in conjunction with same.
To be successful in this role we would expect someone to be conversant with all current and proposed relevant compliance legislation and best practice. To have experience within social housing or a regulatory environment with a good sense of customer service.
