About this key role As directed by the Caseworker or Team Leader, you will carry out promotional and engagement activities to recruit participants, as well as individual needs assessments with participants, obtaining information from referral agencies where possible.&nbsp; You will support participants in carrying out individual and group activities to implement their plans and make progress towards employment, plus act as a Peer Advisor to participants, providing ‘support from someone who has been there’.
We will also count on you to act as a positive role model for what participants can achieve, help develop their confidence and make referrals for specialist help, including what is available within the project, plus, as skills develop, take on a small caseload of participants.

Responsibilities of the post: &nbsp;
The role of the 1:1 Teaching Assistant will be working with a named child. &nbsp;
The learning support assistant will be expected to support the class teacher in the teaching and welfare of the individual child to attain the targets set in theirpersonal learning.&nbsp;
Supporting children

You will need to
• Have GCSE, ‘O’ Level or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English.&nbsp; • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) &nbsp; • Have previous experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs within the last 2 years and have a clear understanding of the support needed for children with speech, language and communication, sensory and social, emotional and mental health needs.&nbsp; • Demonstrate patience, empathy and a nurturing approach when working with the child, understanding their unique challenges and providing appropriate support. &nbsp; • Have knowledge and understanding of the different social, cultural, educational and physical needs of children.&nbsp; • Have experience of EYFS learning and support&nbsp; • Model positive behaviour both in the classroom and around school.&nbsp; • Excellent interpersonal skills.&nbsp; • Previous experience with working with children.&nbsp;

Shift Pattern:&nbsp;37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday, working across a rota which will include day and night shifts as we provide a 24 hour service. &nbsp;
About the role
We are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Croydon, providing leadership and line management to a team of night staff which is around 10 people in total. You will provide support and supervision sessions at night, and general leadership to the team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles. You will further ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements to the residents. You will be responsible for creating a psychologically informed environment (PIE) with person centred support during all hours. You will work closely with the day teams to ensure a smooth handover from the day to night.&nbsp;
This service is a Forensic Mental Health provision for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. For your own personal safety, you will require to have access to your own transport as you will need to travel between our 4 sites during the night shift to provide managerial support to the teams. The teams support our residents with person centred support, to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, to have greater independence and fulfilled living. The service is responsible for holding various activities, group sessions, and one to one support to enable residents to build their personal skills and experiences to achieve their goals.&nbsp;
The role includes:

<li>Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle</li>
<li>Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service</li>
<li>Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed</li>
<li>Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed</li>
