From managing elected officials' diaries and supporting the Council’s governance process to administering the ward budget programme, you’ll respond to all sorts of important challenges as you enable our key decision-makers to perform their roles smoothly and effectively. This vital work will help to deliver our Fairer Westminster strategy and support Cabinet Members as they make the decisions that affect the lives of people and communities in Westminster.<br><br>Working closely with politicians, your day-to-day tasks will be varied and could include arranging a complex cross-Council meeting with various stakeholders, commissioning a briefing note for a Cabinet Member on a pressing strategic priority, or supporting applicants through the ward budget application process. You’ll also take a lead role in supporting a broad portfolio of casework, working with everyone in the council from junior officers to our most senior stakeholders. The role ensures compliance with fostering regulations, provides expert advice and coordinates quality assurance. Will be required to Deputise for the Head of Regional Fostering Recruitment as required.</p><p>Manage, support and mentor three Fostering Advisors, providing supervision, guidance, coaching and continuous professional development.  Support staff to develop fostering recruitment specialisms to enhance service delivery.</p><p>Ensure high-quality information, advice, and guidance are provided to all prospective foster carer applicants across the Local Community Fostering region.</p><p>Work with the team to develop the necessary tools and resources for Fostering Advisors to perform their roles effectively and efficiently.</p><p>Develop and implement efficient systems to manage large volumes of enquiries and ensure timely follow-up calls and responses.</p><p>Lead on ensuring an effective duty service, organise the duty rota and ensure timely responses to social media enquiries, telephone calls and emails.</p><p>Work as part of the duty system to screen prospective foster carer applicants. Train, develop and support Fostering Advisors to conduct high-quality, thorough initial home visits and quality assure their work. Conduct high quality, thorough initial home visits across the Local Community Fostering region.</p><p>Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and best practices in fostering recruitment and assessment.</p><p>Lead audits and quality assurance processes related to fostering recruitment work.</p><p>Oversee the organisation of stalls at public events, fostering information sessions, and the distribution of promotional materials.
