The Transfer Service provides out of hours standby support to HM Senior Coroner for West Sussex, Brighton &amp; Hove and the City Mortuary team by moving the body of a deceased person from the place of death to the Mortuary.&nbsp;Providing this vital service requires you to work calmly, with a high level of discretion and tact, and to be confident and able to lift a body with support from a colleague and equipment. You will always work with a member of the core City Mortuary team and full training will be provided.On-call duties are on a rota basis. You will generally work 7-10 days per month with occasional further holiday cover available. The on-call week runs from Monday to Sunday and your standby periods will be outside of the Mortuary’s opening hours.During your on-call standby periods, you are able to continue with your normal life but must be fit to work and always able to reach the mortuary within 30 minutes of being called. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting for Floating Support Workers to join our team across Brighton and Hove! You may need to support in additional local areas as appropriate. We are ideally looking for someone who is local as shifts may vary due to this being a bank position, we are unable to provide consistent rotas, therefore being from the area will be beneficial in getting around to the various locations. In this role, you will provide community-based support for individuals with mental health and wellbeing needs. You will work alongside various services to support individuals to meet their unique goals, and provide opportunities available to them to live independently in the community, develop their social skills and independent living skills.

About the role:
The role of IDVA involves providing a pro-active service to all victim survivors of domestic abuse who have been assessed as high-risk of further harm.
The role including assessing risk and delivering an individualised service which aims to address the safety needs of victim survivors and any children and/or dependents.
The IDVA will advocate on behalf of the victim survivor, ensuring that they remain at the centre of all that we do, providing advice and support from the point of crisis and referring on to relevant agencies once the risk has reduced.
The IDVA aims to support clients to improve their safety, to support their recovery and to achieve long term safety and reduce repeat victimisation.
The IDVA will advocate on behalf of the victim / survivor with multiple agencies ensuring their risk is central to support safety planning.
As an IDVA you will be:
<ul>
<li>working with victims at high risk of serious harm through domestic abuse, supporting them to keep themselves safe, understand their rights and options and support them through the Criminal Justice process.</li>
<li>completing risk assessments and safety plans</li>
<li>working with partner agencies to develop multi-agency plans to support victims effectively</li>

You will need:

<li>a good understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse</li>
<li>preferably experience of working with victims</li>

Family Worker - 14.24 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Domestic Abuse Hub as a Family Worker, specifically to support families who are affected by domestic abuse.
The Domestic Abuse Hub is a multi-agency team of Police, Education, Family Workers and Independent Domestic Violence Advocates. Between us, we respond to concerns relating to domestic abuse of all levels of risk. The Hub also coordinates the MARAC process.
About the Role:
As a Family Worker, you will provide support to families on a one-to-one basis, co-facilitate group work programmes and work with adults who have caused harm.&nbsp; You will be contacting survivors of domestic abuse and helping them to implement interventions to manage the risk and reduce the trauma for their children and themselves.
About the Candidate:
You will need to have a sound knowledge base in relation to understanding the complexities of domestic abuse and be prepared to work utilising a whole family approach. You will need have undertaken training or be prepared undertake level 2 domestic abuse training.
