Team Manager – Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards 
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to join our service as a Team Manager, providing strategic and operational leadership for the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality, legally compliant and person-centred practice in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) 2005, the DoLS framework and other statutory regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will aid in promoting the rights, autonomy and safety of adults who may lack capacity, embedding a culture of lawful, strengths-based and rights-respecting decision making.
You will champion excellence in MCA and DoLS practice across the organisation and its commissioned services, by offering expert professional oversight, strategic influence, and authoritative guidance.
About the Candidate:
We’re looking for a Qualified Social Worker with substantial and relevant, post-qualifying experience. You must also have previous experience of leading and managing a team within a Social Care environment.
You will have substantial experience of managing complex caseloads, services, and mental capacity matters. You must be able to evidence multi-agency collaboration with experience of working across professional and organisational boundaries.
You must be a qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England to undertake this role.

Our Social Workers in Support and Protect are responsible for supporting children who are subject of Child in Need Plans; Child Protection Plans; Legal Proceedings and Children in our Care.&nbsp;
You will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the safety and welfare of children and young people. You will work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to assess needs, develop plans, and provide ongoing support. An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Adult Social Care Service within Sefton Council. Sefton are looking for an experienced Social Worker for the DoLS Team. You must be a qualified Best Interest Assessor.
As a qualified social worker, you will contribute to the operational delivery of an effective Adult Social Care service as part of a team responsible for promoting the welfare of and continuously improving outcomes for individuals.
