It is also to prevent offending and re-offending by young people by providing an effective service to young people and their carers. You will be able to work within a team approach and with other professionals and local organisations to identify and address the issues that young people face as a result of exploitation and serious youth violence, this will be underpinned by empowering, anti-oppressive, trauma informed and culturally competent practice (training will be provided for this). About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, qualified social worker to join our very enthusiastic and dedicated kinship team on a permanent basis. The main duties of the team is to undertake Viability Assessments, Special Guardianship/Kinship Assessments and Support Plans to court. The role will also require ongoing support of special guardians/kinship carers pre and post final order as well as present prospective kinship foster carers and the assessment to a permanency panel. This will include supporting children and families through transitions and providing post special guardianship order support.
This vital work enables children to remain safely in the family network free from significant harm to sustain their family and friends links and relationships. The service is committed to ‘child first’ principles, an approach for which collaboration with children, families and multi-agency partners is at the heart of everything we do.&nbsp;This is an exciting time for Kinship Care on both a local and national level.

About the role
As a Deputy Service Manager, you will support the Service Manager in driving excellence in service delivery, being a point of contact for staff and ensuring they are empowered, skilled, knowledgeable within their roles and create a supportive environment where both staff and residents can thrive. Our residents in this service have experienced long term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services.They are here to make positive changes and receive the support they need to achieve greater independence and progress in their recovery.
In this role, as a Deputy Service Manager, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents. Some key responsibilities include:

<li>Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service.</li>
<li>Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed.</li>
<li>Property and housing management, ensuring accommodation standards, timely maintenance and reporting.</li>
<li>Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management.</li>
<li>Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.</li>
<li>Striving to ensure excellence and quality in our service delivery.</li>
