About the role:Team Manager opportunity in EMPOWER U team (Exploitation and Missing Hub) City Wide Service ( 12 -18 months fixed term contract for external candidates )An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager in the continued development of the EMPOWER U Team (Exploitation and Missing Hub) Citywide Service. The successful person will need to be an innovative individual; to work within the EMPOWER U hub in the areas of child exploitation, missing and wider contextual risks such as Serious Youth Violence and Harm outside the family home . The successful applicant will take an independent and objective approach; working in an open and transparent way with the ability to challenge partner agencies and advocate on behalf of children, parents, and carers.In addition, the successful candidate will work in partnership with a team of specialist workers and partners; will chair disruption planning meetings and reviews in relation to children exploited, missing and /or involved in serious youth violence. In addition, they will work in partnership with the district teams, intelligence analysts and assist with any safety planning and decision making in relation to individual and groups of children for whom there are concerns around criminal and /or sexual exploitation and missing. The individual requires a good understanding of contextual safeguarding. Family Connector

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a GOOD fostering agency in the pivotal role of Fostering Administrator and Birmingham Foster Carer Association (BFCA) Coordinator. This post is a full-time post that is split between being the part time coordinator for BFCA who an independent charity working alongside Birmingham Fostering Agency in ensuring our foster carers have support and advice. The remaining hours will be working part-time for Birmingham fostering agency as an Administrator. You will providing business support services to the dual role.The applicant should have excellent organisational, communication, and administrative skills.
