Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage the service charge and rent setting across our leasehold, shared ownership, social and affordable rents portfolio, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will directly manage the Rents &amp; Service Charge Analysts and ensure that high quality services are provided internally and externally.
The role will be responsible for the development and delivery of the annual plan in relation to rents and service charge activities and will also contribute to the overall management of Hexagon.
Our ideal candidate will have:

<li>Considerable experience of rent and service charge management in the housing sector.</li>
<li>AAT or equivalent accounting qualification.</li>
<li>Experience of using housing management and financial systems (e.g. SUN/CIVICA).</li>
<li>Considerable knowledge of regulation/legislation related to the setting and management of rents and service charges.</li>
<li>Track record of delivering service improvements and the ability to work across teams.</li>
<li>Experience of managing and developing staff.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>A positive “can do” attitude and a commitment to a high standard of service delivery.</li>

About You
The Industry Skills Tutor will manage a caseload of apprentices by monitoring attendance, progression, achievement and completion, organising pastoral support as required and by working with all parties involved to resolve any issues that may affect successful completion of the programmes. We are looking for a candidate with experience within Plumbing and Gas industry. The Industry Skills Tutor will coordinate achievement of all aspects of apprenticeship standards or frameworks, to include quality assurance where appropriate, ensuring learners achieve on time, and in-line with college targets. The successful applicants will develop individual action plans including the setting of smart targets tailored to meet apprentices’ needs while maintaining accurate records in line with the College requirements.
The Industry Skills Tutor will;

<li>Have relevant up-to-date industrial/subject knowledge and a knowledge of the Plumbing and Gas industry and employment opportunities</li>

This senior role oversees a diverse portfolio including food safety, health and safety, public health and the Disabled Facilities Grants service. You will be a professionally qualified Environmental Health Practitioner with full corporate membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and experience in managing front line services.
You will drive service improvement, lead multidisciplinary teams, and play a key role in shaping policy, performance, and strategic direction within the Environmental Health, Licensing &amp; Resilience Service Group.
As a key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, cost-effective services in line with corporate and legal objectives. This includes budget management, performance monitoring, staff development, and stakeholder engagement. The role also involves representing the council at regional forums, managing emergency planning responsibilities, and deputising for the Head of Service when required.
The post is offered on a permanent, full time basis (36 hours per week).
