Through a network of field stations, TSU establishes, maintains and assesses field experiments for the science centres within Forest Research and on behalf of other customers, including the Forestry Commission, Forestry and Land Scotland, Natural Resources Wales and other external clients. It also provides local contact and liaison between Forest Research and networks of regional Forestry Commission and Natural Resources Wales (NRW) staff, partner organisations and private woodland owners and managers.</p><h4>Job description</h4><p>To carry out the delegated research, survey and forest work programmes to prescribed standards, budget and deadlines. The successful applicant will work as part of a small team of Forest Research Workers based at Stanton Downham, near Thetford, carrying out a wide range of environmental, plant health and crop surveys; lay out, maintain and assess field experiments; and in cases assist with managing contractors and auditing their work. They will carry out tasks including pesticide applications and use power tools including chainsaws. <h4>Job summary</h4><p>The Station Safety, Health, Environment and Fire Advisor (SHEA) is responsible for the provision of specialist advice and guidance to the Station Commander (Stn Cdr) on all aspects of Health and Safety (H&amp;S), Environmental Protection (EP) and Fire (SHEF) at RAF Honington. You will progress cases through the court/tribunal system and provide administrative support to functions within HMCTS. You will have regular contact with court / tribunal users, which could include members of the Judiciary and the legal profession.</p><p>You will be adaptable, able to multi-task and effectively carry out a variety of duties, which will include:</p><p>· Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings</p><p>· Creating and updating records on our in-house computer system and data input</p><p>· Resulting courts accurately, interpreting accurately the information required on a court file.</p><p>· Checking and verifying documents, records, accounts, claims and returns for approval, results, statistics, plans etc. against criteria, regulations or procedures.</p><p>· Collecting and assembling information for returns, results, accounts, statements, warrants, statistical analysis, reports, etc </p><p>· Communicating with the Public, the Judiciary, other Court and Tribunal Users and Representatives of other Agencies and Organisations</p><p><strong>Your skills and experience</strong></p><p>With a friendly and approachable manner, you’ll have good written and verbal communication skills with a desire to deliver proactive and effective support to customers by phone and email. You’ll be skilled in organising your time, prioritising efficiently, able to multi-task and adapt to using various software packages. Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment.
