It looks after 585 kilometres (363 miles) of roads, over 31,000 street lighting assets and over 400 bridges and structures.<br>\n<br>\nWe need our highway infrastructure to be at its best and to ensure we can deliver this we are looking for a Head of Highway Operations to lead our talented teams of highway and civil engineering professionals in maintaining and improving our highways.<br>\n<br>\nAs Head of Highway Operations, you will be responsible for highway asset management, routine and reactive maintenance, winter services, network management, highways structural maintenance, revenue and capital, maintenance of highway structures, management of the street lighting PFI contract and much more. Reporting to the ASB, CCTV & Enforcement Manager, you’ll take a lead role in managing complex cases, conducting investigations, and enforcing relevant legislation, such as the Environmental Protection Act and Noise and Statutory Nuisance Act.</p>\n<p>Your responsibilities will include responding to noise complaints both during and outside regular hours, gathering and preserving evidence, and preparing detailed case bundles for potential court proceedings.
