Estates Team Leader (P01506) £55,051 to £58,445 inclusive of outer fringe allowance per annum 37 hours per week (hybrid) Reporting to the Assistant Director (Regeneration and Economic Development) and forming an integral part of the Council’s Regeneration and Economic Development Team, your role will be to manage the Council’s Estates Team. The Council’s commercial property portfolio comprises a range of neighbourhood and town centre retail units, industrial estates, offices and community assets and generates an income of £5.5 Million per annum. About the role

An understanding of the local, regional and national planning policy context and legislative framework, and construction monitoring standards and guidance.&nbsp;

You’ll lead on campaigns tackling priority issues for Londoners such as ‘Have a Word’ to tackle misogyny and prevent violence against women and girls, air quality, housing and homelessness, or campaigns which celebrate London’s diversity and culture, and drive economic recovery, such as ‘Love London’.
We’re looking for an all-round marketing campaign manager - you’ll be skilled at running integrated, public-facing campaigns using the full channel mix and developing insight-driven strategies. Experience working with agencies (creative, media, public relations and research) is desired, and you should be confident managing projects across teams and dealing with senior stakeholders, external partners and sponsors. The role requires you to manage a Marketing Officer so line management experience is useful.

<h2>What your day will look like</h2>

<li>Develop and deliver GLA integrated marketing and communications campaigns ensuring that all work contributes to the GLA’s business objectives as well as the Marketing and Communications strategic objectives on raising awareness, increasing engagement and delivering access to our work for Londoners. The scope of work will vary in size from small short-term projects to longer term strategic initiatives.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Take a rigorous approach to campaign planning and management, ensuring that objectives are clearly defined, and appropriate performance management processes are in place, propositions are based on consumer behaviour and need, appropriate channel strategies, online and offline are defined and effective project management processes are in place throughout the entire campaign lifecycle to deliver campaigns to time and budget.</li>
<li>Through thorough research and analysis of consumer behaviour, and the communications landscape, ensure that all campaign assets are appropriate for the audiences that we are trying to reach and that we champion the consumer in all our work. This will involve generating, editing and proofing copy as appropriate on offline and online channels.</li>
<li>Contribute to the Marketing evaluation programme - reporting on marketing performance on a short and long term, and the effectiveness of social, email and visual channels.</li>
<li>Act as an effective account manager, working closely with the policy and event teams to integrate the work of the Marketing and Communications team into the planning activities of the policy areas, liaising with policy officers, Heads of Unit, Press Officers and Assembly Members, as appropriate.</li>
<li>Take responsibility for working with policy teams to forward plan work and understand future needs. Advise internal clients and stakeholders on marketing and communication related issues.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Deputy Head and wider Marketing Campaigns team, Digital Communications, Press Web and Creative Services Teams to ensure that the Marketing team works efficiently and effectively across all disciplines.</li>
<li>Manage resources allocated to the job in accordance with the Authority’s policies and code of Ethics and Standards.</li>

What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved&nbsp;
This role involves leading on project management of the delivery of two major initiatives: the Holborn Liveable Neighbourhood programme and the Better, Safer Kilburn scheme.&nbsp;
The Holborn LN programme (HLN) is an ambitious £55m project that will transform the area into safe, healthy, accessible streets and climate-resilient streets, while enhancing public spaces and supporting local businesses and attractions such as the British Museum. The HLN is currently in feasibility stage and we are gearing up for a public consultation in Summer 2026.
The Better, Safer Kilburn scheme is a £12m project to make the town centre a safer and more attractive place to visit, improve air quality, encourage walking and cycling, and create a more pleasant and welcoming town centre. Working with neighbouring Boroughs Brent and Westminster, the scheme has been approved for delivery following consultation and is gearing up to implementation phases.&nbsp;
As a Principal Transport Planner, you will project manage and oversee the design, consultation, and implementation phases of Healthy Streets schemes within these programmes. You will coordinate with internal departments and external partners, including Transport for London, to ensure successful delivery. Your role will also involve conducting community engagement and consultation, ensuring inclusivity and effective outcomes, and contributing to strategic initiatives such as urban greening and high street renewal. You will prepare high-quality reports, manage budgets, and maintain financial oversight while driving innovative solutions in a dynamic environment.
You will be responsible for line managing a Senior Transport Planner in a pro-active, innovative, and dynamic way, helping this officer deliver a portfolio of Healthy Streets projects and support their personal development.

All About You
To be successful in securing this role you will have strong experience of successful project management and delivery of complex heathy streets schemes. You will also have a strong understanding and experience of the policy and statutory framework within which Healthy Streets, transport planning and related activities.&nbsp;
You will be a pro-active and forward-thinking experienced project manager, capable of successfully managing initiatives, often over-lapping with one another, both on time and to budget. You will be able to demonstrate effective partnership working and the ability to develop strong stakeholder relations, including liaising with all relevant external organisations such as TfL, GLA, other boroughs and external funders. To ensure success in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding and appreciate of issues specifically around streetscape design, accessibility, and sustainability. You will be able to help prepare high quality papers and reports for Council Committees, public meetings, and other bodies such as appeals and public inquiries (may be required to attend such events as and when necessary).
You will have need to have an ability to work closely and effectively with elected members, and have an appreciation of the Camden’s political landscape, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. And you will need to show professionalism and expertise in Healthy Streets/LN schemes matters on behalf of the Council at both internal and external meetings, and help advance the Council’s strategic transport positions and priorities at such meetings. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively help support and oversee the workload of more junior members of a team and/or consultants.

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Development Support Officer to join our London North Delivery Team.
