We are currently delivering a major end to end digital transformation program bringing cutting-edge technologies into our estate whilst also maintaining our live services.
As a proactive and experienced Delivery Manager aligned to one of our service squads, you will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery across your squad, including new and ongoing products and services, and their operational management.
You will work closely with Product Managers and ensure planning, execution, tracking and reporting of priorities, while balancing Agile best practices with pragmatic delivery decisions.
The service squad is a multi-disciplinary team, including Development Engineers, Test Engineers, Technical Architects, Product Managers, User Researchers, Business Analysts and Service Owners.
The successful candidate will have a proven background in running functional Agile teams and be passionate about Agile delivery methodologies for converting extensive backlogs to production ready systems at pace. The role is critical in enabling the team to deliver high quality outcomes, efficiently and collaboratively, while aligning closely with wider programme objectives and timelines.
You will be part of a wider Delivery Manager Community of Practice aimed at maintaining and enhancing standards of practice around Delivery Management across the DDaT Directorate. As such, you will play an integral role in not only the professional development of others in the Community of Practice but also for those that make up the service squads, by feeding into and influencing their own Communities of Practice, continually driving DDaT forward.
You will have extensive experience and knowledge in delivery management, stakeholder management, Agile ways of working and their associated frameworks, such as SCRUM and Kanban.

Working Style
This role will be carried out in-line with IPO Hybrid working arrangements where staff are currently expected to spend at least 20% of their time working onsite from one of our offices. This role is based in our Newport Office.

This role requires you to take ownership and have a strong appetite for learning and applying new technologies and methodologies to deliver high-quality IT services. You will lead on designs for solutions for the IPO platforms, considering industry best practices while adhering to IPO standards and policies.
You are expected to be proactive and take accountability for various architectural deliverables within IPO. Additionally, as a Lead Technical Architect, you will contribute to the technical strategy of the organization.
Working Style
This role will be carried out in-line with IPO Hybrid working arrangements where staff are currently expected to spend at least 20% of their time working onsite from one of our offices. This role is based in our&nbsp;Newport Office.
The requirement for attendance at an office location can vary by role so we would encourage candidates to discuss working arrangements with the recruiting manager to agree a reasonable balance between working from home and the office.

The position will require the successful candidate to work at The Campus site, which includes Herons’ Moor Academy, Bay Tree School, Locking Castle Children’s Centre and leisure and library facilities. The post may also require providing facilities support to other NSC sites on occasion. You will join an existing Facilities Services team and report directly to the facility services manager.Successful applicants must have previous customer service experience and strong communication skills. Basic knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace is also essential with first-hand experience of safe manual handling. Previous experience of building maintenance and general repairs would be desirable but is not essential.Applicants must hold a full UK driving license as you will be required to use a fleet vehicle on occasion.Key Responsibilities:Working as part of a team, your hours will be worked on a shift basis and will include evenings and weekends. Key responsibilities of the position would include the following activities:<ul><li>Answering radio calls and responding to emails from Campus staff relating to daily issues such as building faults, waste removal, room set ups.</li><li>Ensuring correct disposal of waste in compliance with NSC guidelines and in line with the ISO14001 environmental standard. Duties include separation of general recycling materials such as plastic and cardboard and safe disposal of hazardous waste such as yellow bag waste.</li><li>Undertaking of regular building checks and planned maintenance such as daily plant room inspections, weekly fire alarm testing and monthly fire extinguisher audits.</li><li>First line maintenance to include activities such as lamp replacements, unblocking toilets, putting up noticeboards and assembling furniture.</li><li>Reporting of building faults via our Facilities Helpdesk and following up on tasks logged to ensure works have been completed in a timely manner.</li><li>Carry out site safety checks and undertake porterage duties.</li><li>Ensure all external contractors used are appropriately vetted and approved via Campus policies ahead of any works commencing.
