What’s the role?
Housing Services Directorate is looking to appoint an Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader to manage a team of six Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Officers responsible for offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 duties. Successful management of this service area will ensure we deliver a high quality, customer-focused approach to our applicants eligible for homelessness assistance and continuous improvement and efficiency in the service delivery. In addition, you will ensure officers complete S208, enforce offer of suitable accommodation, correctly undertake the discharge of duty and complete all other tasks relevant to their role.

What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Assessment &amp; Lettings Team Leader with a good working knowledge of managing a team responsible for offering accommodation under S188 and S193, Part 6 &amp; 7 of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002 and Localism Act 2011 and its application. You must have knowledge and understanding of the activities, functions and processes involved in offering suitable accommodation under S188 and S193 as well as issuing discharge of duty decisions.

About the role
Our People and Culture team are hiring a Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join the team to support with ensuring our staff are paid efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will play a pivotal part of the team to support with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any additional relevant activities. You will utilise the tools and resources available to ensure we meet the needs of all our stakeholders and comply with legal matters. The role will further include:

<li>Taking ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process, being the point of contact for enquiries in this area.</li>
<li>Supporting the administrative process of payroll and pensions, including with the database/system, ensure that any problems are identified with the relevant departments for effective resolution.</li>
<li>Ensure Full Payment Submissions (FPS) within tight deadlines and process for all adaptations are carried out in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Support relevant colleagues to ensure the correct payments, reports, and returns are made to HMRC, pension providers, and other bodies.</li>
<li>Work in collaboration with functions within the organisation to ensure consistency of information and process.</li>
<li>Ensure all data and reporting is updated in a timely manner across the relevant databases on a regular basis and fit the needs of the business.</li>

In this role, you will report to the Payroll and Pensions Manager, working alongside the wider People and Culture team which includes the Generalist team, Talent Acquisition team, Workforce Development, and Talent Development team. Once a month, we meet as a team and come together for a fun activity and collaborative working.
About you
We are looking for someone who is methodical and intuitive, with a detail oriented outlook to tasks, with the ability to take ownership of projects and workflows, using your skills, knowledge and materials to provide an excellent service. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment, able to work with conflicting priorities, whilst maintaining a high level professional service. <li>Experience in a similar role, taking on similar responsibilities in payroll capacity</li>
<li>Experience in providing a high level of quality administration and customer support (internal or external customers)</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience using a payroll systems is desirable</li>
<li>Good understanding of HMRC requirements, including Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), statutory maternity and paternity pay</li>
<li>Experience of providing a high level of numerical administration and communications, commensurate to the level of the role</li>
<li>IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, competent knowledge in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to attend regular visits to our different service locations</li>
<li>Working knowledge and understanding of payroll, pensions and other relevant laws and external policies commensurate to the level of the role.</li>

What we’re looking for Reporting to the Director of Housing Strategy, the Head of Private Sector Licencing and Home Improvement will lead a service area that provides strategic direction for the Council’s housing improvement and assistance service and the property licensing and enforcement function. This is an area of the division with big ambition, as we have recently expanded our property licencing schemes and have seen an increase in applications from residents for support from our grants, specifically the Disabled Facilities Grant. Managing a service of up to 100 staff the post-holder will lead our ambitions to work proactively within the private rented sector to drive up standards and safety for Lewisham’s residents. With expertise in the legal framework of regulation and licensing, you’ll be at the forefront of operationalising our new licensing scheme, and will maximise their impact through innovative new approaches to engaging with our residents. You will also be responsible for utilising a home assistance grant of £2million a year to support our most vulnerable residents to live in safe and secure homes from which they can live independent lives. We’re looking for a strategic and inspirational leader, communicator and manager who can demonstrate strong experience of delivering an operational income-generating service, ideally with a background in commercial or regulatory and enforcement services as well as a strong background and experience in managing Disabled Facilities Grants services. You will be responsible for carrying out inspections of occupied and void properties, diagnosing repairs, scheduling up works through an agreed schedule of rates or where not possible preparing a specification of works and obtaining quotations. You will work with colleagues across the Housing Demand Service to ensure the PSL properties meet the current lettable standard and repaired within the agreed timescales and budget provisions. You will assist in maintaining and ensuring the PSL void properties are compliant and ready for tenants.&nbsp;To be responsible for the Hand back of Homes for Haringey and Councils Leasing properties, leading on the dilapidation and disrepair claims from property owners from inception to completion.
The Temporary Accommodation Service are responsible for the procurement of properties used as temporary accommodation for homeless households and for managing the relationships and contracts we have temporary accommodation providers, ensuring that a sufficient supply of good quality and reasonably priced accommodation is available.
This role sits within the Contracts &amp; Procurement Team which is tasked with managing our temporary and emergency accommodation provision and contracts, overseeing delivery of reasonably priced temporary housing to meet identified demand.
A key element of the contract &amp; procurement work is building and maintaining relationships with providers and agents, as well as carrying out inspections and following up on repairs and property conditions.
<h3>About you</h3>
You will be required to successfully manage projects and work with contractors to ensure work is being completed to a satisfactory standard. The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and contractors is required as well as tact, diplomacy and the ability to negotiate. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to achieve defined performance targets.
Experience with building works, dealing with voids and disrepair. Dilapidation, handbacks is desirable. Surveying qualifications – RICS, CIOB.

This role will lead the planning and coordination of communications, marketing, and stakeholder engagement for the Environment and Energy team. Sitting at the heart of a busy and high-impact policy area, you will be responsible for shaping how the team’s work is communicated to Londoners, stakeholders, and partners - maximising reach, clarity and alignment with Mayoral priorities.
You will work closely with communications colleagues and policy leads to develop and implement communication strategies that support key environmental programmes and campaigns. About the role
We are seeking a Dual Diagnosis Worker who has a specialism in mental health and substance use to join our team in Croydon. You will be based within a residential service which provides specialist mental health, complex needs, and dual diagnosis support to our residents. Within this role, you will provide specialist knowledge and experience to support the wider team and residents to help them to overcome their personal barriers.
You will deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills. You will be a specialist in comorbidity, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for our residents. Some of your duties will include:

<li>Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.</li>
<li>Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.</li>
<li>Help reduce episodes of crisis and assist residents/participants to access services which can offer alternatives to crisis support.</li>

We are looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with experience in interventions, and in a similar role. Qualifications are desirable if paired with practical experience which is relevant to this role. We look at individual characteristics with the ability to engage with various people who may not want to receive the support, able to build trusting professional relationships, and able to demonstrate resilience, solve challenges, and be proactive. You will have demonstrable experience of working in an agile context and the ability to work routinely from back-office CCTV control rooms in manual and unattended ANPR CCTV processing. This work requires regular attendance in the office and has limited capacity for remote working.
Day to day you will undertake the statutory duties of Civil Enforcement Officer under the Traffic Management Act 2004 in enforcing moving traffic, bus lanes and parking contraventions via CCTV. Processing relevant administrative functions in relation to CCTV team such as processing of CCTV scheme permits and logs on the performance of such schemes.
Previous experience of parking enforcement is not mandatory as full training will be provided on the job.
You will be required to successfully pass security vetting through DBS checks level to be considered for this post.
