About Us:

THE EXTRAORDINARY STORY OF THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM

Housing and Commercial Partnerships in Westminster City Council is a world of extraordinary stories. Where people use their vision and commitment to open doors for the next generations.

Nothing beats the feeling of helping someone find their passion. At Westminster City Council, our City Lions team helps young local people engage with culture, creativity and dreams. When they came across a lonely, isolated 16-year-old who called himself a failure, they knew what to do. They worked 1-2-1 to find the thing this boy really loved. YouTube, it turned out. But it’s impossible to turn that into a career, right? Wrong. A week later, he was enrolled on the British Film Institute film-making programme. It was the ultimate light-bulb moment. And it turned him into what he is today – a budding Spielberg with a world of opportunity at his feet.

Please view the extraordinary story of the Impossible Dream here.

The Role:

As a Property Contract Officer, you can make your own powerful contribution to people across Westminster. Joining our Temporary Accommodation Supply and Operations team, you’ll provide high-quality operational support — assisting with the administration, monitoring and coordination of property contracts across the portfolio.

Your day-to-day will be varied and dynamic, involving everything from monitoring contractor performance and contract compliance to resolving invoice queries, raising purchase orders and recording expenditure. Taking a meticulous, detail-oriented approach to everything you do, you’ll maintain accurate records, documentation and systems to support effective contract delivery. You’ll also work alongside contractors, suppliers and stakeholders to respond to queries and identify, track and escalate operational issues.

Most importantly, you’ll put Westminster’s residents and communities at the heart of everything you do — ensuring they can count on safe, secure, high-quality temporary accommodation.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

An established professional with experience in an administrative, coordination or support role within housing, property, contracts or compliance, you’ll have supported contract administration processes in the past. You’ll have some experience of monitoring or tracking performance indicators, and of supporting financial, compliance, audit or inspection processes through accurate record keeping.

On a personal level, you’ll be a true team player with strong organisational, administrative and communication skills. Your attention to detail will be second to none, and you’ll be confident handling data, coordinating meetings and activities, and working to tight deadlines. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team putting residents across Westminster first, and to supercharge your career in the process.
