We are now recruiting for a relief Street Cleansing Operative committed to making the district a cleaner, safer and greener place to live, work and visit.
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Street Scene team, helping to keep the Newark and Sherwood district clean and free from litter throughout the week, including during some of the busiest periods of the day. As a Street Cleansing Operative, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, efficient street cleansing service across the district.
A full driving licence is required for this role.
These relief roles are required on an as, and when, basis.
This role includes:
- Cleansing of street furniture
- Public bin and dog waste collections
- Graffiti removal
- Playground checks
- Fly tip removal
- Watering
- Litter picking
- Various safety checks
- Installing Street furniture
- Gritting
- Flood response
- Chewing Gum removal
- Driving varied vehicles
