Marketing

Job Title: Events and Scheduling Officer, Eltham College Family of Schools

Hours work: 37.5 per week, all year (possibility of reduced weeks outside term time, TBC). Some evening and weekend work

Reports to: Director of Marketing and Communications

Location: Based primarily in Eltham College, but working a minimum of one day per week at Blackheath Prep

The Headmaster and CEO of Eltham College Family of Schools is seeking to appoint an Events and Scheduling officer to work in the Marketing and Communications Team, providing the administrative and co-ordination ‘glue’ which draws together the key specialisms of this busy department to ensure timely, cost-effective and cohesive delivery of all activity, to the highest standards.

Alongside its scheduling and co-ordination responsibilities, the role will manage the planning and execution of our schedule of vibrant marketing events, such as Open Days and Visitor Mornings, briefing and co-ordinating all involved parties to ensure the delivery of outstanding customer and visitor experiences.

The Department

The Marketing and Communications team is vital to the delivery of the overall vision, aims and strategic objectives of the Eltham College Family of Schools (currently comprising Eltham College, Eltham College Junior School, and Blackheath Prep), playing a key role in ensuring that ours are the schools of first choice in our region. The team's core objective is to build the schools' reputation and profile, raising awareness and interest to drive pupil recruitment and celebrating the exceptional experience our schools provide to delight both our existing community and prospective families.

Eltham College is a highly successful independent day school in south-east London, educating boys and girls aged 7 to 18 across both Junior and Senior Schools. The College has grown considerably over recent years: there are now over 800 students in the Senior School and around 260 pupils in the Junior School and places are heavily oversubscribed. Since 2020, girls have been able to join Years 3 and 7, mirroring the Sixth Form which has been coeducational for over 45 years. The school places an equal emphasis on academic, pastoral and co-curricular excellence and has an outstanding reputation in all three areas as well as for the friendly, unpretentious nature of daily life.

A highly competitive salary is available, together with additional training and development opportunities through our generous staff development programme.
