Transport
£29,064 - £31,022 per year
Job Introduction

Join our School Admissions and Transport Team in a varied role supporting children and families across Telford & Wrekin.

You will assess home to school transport and travel assistance applications, provide advice and guidance to parents and schools, and prepare and present cases at independent transport appeal hearings. The role also has a strong ICT and data focus, supporting the development of systems, maintaining accurate records, producing reports, and improving online services.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent ICT skills, including experience of databases, spreadsheets, and management information systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • The confidence to present complex transport appeal cases and explain policy and evidence clearly to independent panels.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet statutory deadlines.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technology, data analysis, and customer focused caseworker to make a real difference for children and families.

Please note that this is a fixed-term post for a period of two years.
