Catering Assistant (Deer Park Primary School)

Technician

<p>The Highways Technical Support Team oversees and controls all activity on the highway to support the aim of a safe and reliable highway network. It brings together a range of functions that impact on the network including highway maintenance, traffic management, street works and permits, customer enquiries and insurance claims.</p><p>We are looking for someone to join the team who is highly motivated, flexible and with an appetite for providing excellent support to internal and external customers. It is essential that the successful candidate has a superb eye for detail.</p><p>Applicants will need to be able to use their initiative as they will be required to work largely unsupervised, and demonstrate a keen eye for attention to detail.</p><p>They will be responsible for providing a service which will reviewing and approving licences on the highway, working with technical officers to resolve highways matters, and working with colleagues to ensure the correct traffic management is used when works are undertaken.</p><p>There may also be a need to support out of hours incidents when significant incidents or weather events occur.</p><p>To be effective in this role, you will need to: be an excellent communicator with good IT skills have excellent attention to detail, have an in-depth knowledge of the county of Derbyshire, and have a good understanding of the policies relating to highway functions and associated responsibilities.</p><p>Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate they have the essential and desirable criteria for this role within their application. Teaching and Learning Assistant

<p>The Council is seeking a Driver / Labourer to join the Council’s successful Streetscene Team to carry out general street cleansing and labourer duties including the operation of mechanical sweeping machines and service vehicles to clear litter and debris from highways and public land.</p><p>The post is driven by successful team working and achieving set work schedules to ensure the District is clean and green. The successful applicant will be required to operate primarily from the Eckington and Wingerworth facilities, and may work out of other Council locations as required.</p><p>Knowledge and experience of undertaking litter clearance from highways and ground areas and the use of light powered equipment and power tools is essential for the role. <h4>Post: Seasonal Labourer Grounds and Refuse</h4><ul><li>Salary/Grade: Fixed £25,185 pro rata (£13.05 per hour)</li><li>Fixed Term: Between 26 weeks and 38 week contracts</li><li>Location: NEDDC Depot, Eckington, Derbyshire, S21 4HL / various Council locations</li><li>Closing Date: 21 January 2026</li><li>Interview Date: To be confirmed</li></ul><h4>Job Details and Requirements </h4><p>The Council is seeking Seasonal General Labourers for a range of temporary contracts working across the Council’s Refuse Collection and Grounds Service Teams:</p><ul><li>Seasonal General Labourers (Grounds Maintenance) 30 weeks x 42 hours</li><li>Seasonal General Labourers (Refuse) 26 weeks x 37 hours</li><li>Seasonal General Labourers (Refuse) 38 weeks x 37 hours</li></ul><p>The roles involve working as part of a friendly team to successfully deliver our Services. Training and support will be provided together with the opportunity to gain experience within Streetscene operations.</p><p>Successful applicants will operate from Eckington Depot and Mill Lane Depot. Postholders must be willing to work flexibly to assist with both Refuse and Parks and across a range of locations throughout the District. Seasonal Labourer Grounds and Refuse

<p><strong>Wirksworth Junior School </strong>wish to appoint a maternity cover for our School Business Officer to join our happy and supportive school. This role is due to start on Monday 9 March where there will be handover with the current stakeholder.</p><p>The position would involve working alongside another part-time office staff in our busy school office.</p><p>The post would be required to work 32 hours for at least 4 days a week, but we can be flexible to meet the needs of the school and the right candidate. The role would support some hybrid working/ working from home; however, the role would mostly be on the school site.
