Join our Supply Chain Team at L&Q:

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and build from the start making a real impact. We’re strengthening our central Supply Chain team and you’ll play a pivotal role in setting up the policy, compliance and reporting capability that will underpin how we buy, manage contracts and assure governance across the organisation.

As Senior Policy & Compliance Manager (Supply Chain), you’ll lead the development and oversight of policy, compliance, reporting and controls across the full supply chain and contract/commercial lifecycle.

We’re setting up and strengthening the way we work: consistent processes, reliable contract data, clear governance, strong reporting, and proactive risk management. You’ll help turn “good practice” into business-as-usual through tools, training, systems and simple, scalable standards.

You’ll report to the Supply Chain Director, lead a small team and play a key role in creating the standards and governance that support better outcomes across the organisation.

If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply!

Your impact in the role:

You’ll embed a compliant, audit-ready supply chain and procurement framework that sticks; with better data, clearer controls, reduced risk and smarter decision-making.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the development and oversight of policy, compliance and reporting across the supply chain and contract management lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute the Supply Chain plan, aligning category management with long‑term procurement priorities.
  • Embed best-practice processes, systems and governance and drive continuous improvement in how the framework is adopted.
  • Own the essentials: contract management systems, contracts register and data quality, ensuring documentation meets governance standards.
  • Use business and risk reporting to spot issues early, manage risk and drive mitigation.
  • Lead and develop a small team (2 direct reports) and partner confidently with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

What you'll bring:

You’re a strategic thinker, detail-sharp compliance leader who can turn policy into simple, usable ways of working and bring people with you.

You’ll have:

Significant experience in procurement and supply chain policy, compliance and/or contract management, plus audits/policy development and system implementation.

  • Strong knowledge of procurement law, regulatory reporting and supplier management.
  • Confidence engaging stakeholders, delivering training, tools and templates to embed consistent practice across teams.
  • Experience in housing or another regulated environment.
  • You will able to hit the ground running straight away
  • Assurance to the board members

Desirable - CIPS (or working towards) Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply,

Qualifications - Degree or equivalent experience in buying, supply chain, business, or compliance.

We look forward to reviewing your application, and hearing about the genuine experiences and skills you could bring to our organisation. L&Q reserve the right to not accept statements that exceed 500 words.
