About the role

Are you passionate about improving outcomes for babies, young children and their families?

Barnet's Early Years Parenting Hub (EYPH) is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Clinical Practitioner to join our innovative specialist service supporting families with children aged 0–5 who are on the edge of care and where parents may be experiencing complex emotional needs.

The EYPH is a unique multi-family therapeutic service working closely with Children's Social Care to deliver evidence-based interventions, including Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT), attachment-focused parent-child work, therapeutic group programmes and video feedback interventions.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, supportive and highly skilled team making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children and their families.

As a Parenting Intervention Practitioner, you will:

• Co-facilitate therapeutic children's groups using attachment-based approaches such as Therplay and Parental Embodied Mentalization.

• Support families to engage positively with therapeutic interventions and achieve meaningful change.

• Facilitate parent-child video feedback sessions and support attachment-based therapeutic work.

• Work collaboratively with Children's Social Care and wider professional networks to promote positive outcomes for children.

• Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service evaluation and development.

• Participate in regular clinical supervision, reflective practice and service improvement activities.

About you

You will have:

• GCSE, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field relating to children and young people.

• Training in Early Years, Parenting or Multi-Family Group Work.

• At least two years' experience working with children, young people or families in a paid or voluntary capacity.

• Experience delivering parenting programmes, therapeutic interventions or family support services.

• Knowledge of attachment theory, child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage.

• An understanding of safeguarding, child protection and children's services legislation.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building and partnership-working skills.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting families with complex needs.
