HIA Team Manager

  • Contract: Permanent / Full-time (36 hours per week)
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9–5
  • Location: Bromley Civic Centre
  • Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 9 – 5, Visits and Hybrid, 2 days a week office attendance.

The role

We are looking for a Home Improvement Agency (HIA) Manager in our Housing Team. The HIA utilises grant funding to provide aids and adaptions to resident’s homes across the Borough. We are transforming our services so that they can be truly innovative and responsive, ensuring that our residents can thrive in safe, accessible homes. Having increased growth, we have several positions available, where you’ll have the opportunity to shape new services, influence best practice, and make a meaningful impact on the quality, safety and sustainability of homes for Bromley residents.

About You

We are looking for confident, skilled HIA professionals with strong sector knowledge who will bring:

• Strong leadership and team-management skills, with the ability to drive performance

• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities

• In‑depth understanding of statutory compliance, and building safety and Planning requirements

• Proven ability to manage contractors, SLAs, procurement processes and performance monitoring

• Strong budget management skills and experience reporting on cost control and expenditure

· Relevant qualification in housing, surveying and project management (desirable but not essential if backed by strong experience)

· Strong construction background

HIA Manager

The HIA Manager is expected to provide clear leadership and professional oversight of the Housing Improvements/Adaptations service, ensuring high‑quality delivery and performance.
The role will lead, support, and develop the team while ensuring services are compliant, customer‑focused, and aligned with organisational priorities.
