Job Description

Overview

Kenmore Neighbourhood Resource Centre are seeking Assistant Day Service Officer's to support NRC staff and Service Users as required.

Tasks include providing a warm and caring atmosphere in the Day Service and to participate in planning and providing appropriate individual care for service users whilst enhancing their independence and dignity. You will undertake the skilled day to day social and emotional care of service users and will be expected to act with initiative, skill and responsibility. They will also observe the Council’s rules regarding confidentiality.

The post holder will work within a team and support staff and Service Users as required following CQC and Adult Social Care policies and guidelines.


About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of providing personal care.
  • Experience of assisting service users with eating and drinking.
  • Ability to undertake moving and manual handling duties.
  • A Food Hygiene level 2 qualification.
  • Good verbal communication.
  • Good interpersonal skills and capable of working with a variety of people.
  • Flexibility to work with a variety of service users with complex needs.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent or has the equivalent relevant work experience.
  • D1 Licence is desirable
