The opportunity

As Head of Economic Growth, you will lead the design and delivery of a bold, place-based economic strategy-translating the Mayor’s vision into investable, impactful programmes.

You will:

Lead the region’s economic growth agenda, driving investment, trade and sector development
Shape and deliver major funding programmes (including Local Growth Fund and successor programmes) with robust governance and measurable impact
Develop and execute an ambitious Investment & Trade Strategy, building a strong pipeline of opportunities and positioning Greater Lincolnshire on the national and global stage
Unlock public and private investment, working at the interface of government, business and investors
Provide trusted strategic advice to the Mayor and senior leadership on growth, policy and emerging opportunities
Champion key sectors and rural growth, ensuring inclusive, sustainable economic outcomes
Lead a high-performing team and build strong partnerships across local, national and international stakeholders

You will bring:

Proven leadership in economic growth, investment and sector development
Strong experience securing funding and developing business cases
Commercial acumen and experience shaping and delivering investment propositions
Ability to operate confidently with political leadership and senior stakeholders
A track record of leading teams and delivering results at pace

Employer
Please note, this role is with the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority (GLCCA), not with Lincolnshire County Council.

Location and travel
The role will be based on-site in Lincoln, with frequent travel across Greater Lincolnshire and to partner locations.

Salary range

£60,050 - £65,878 per year
