Workplace Services Manager

Workplace Services Manager

Facilities
£39,849 per year

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen at HM Land Registry (HMLR) for two Workplace Services Managers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience of handling workplace incidents, issues or service disruptions to play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality workplace services across our offices. If you thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and are passionate about improving the workplace experience, we would love to hear from you.

Job description

You will be part of the Workplace and Business Services (WaBs) Team, playing a key role in supporting Senior Facilities Business Partners to deliver high-quality workplace services through outsourced contractual relationships across designated HMLR offices. Acting as a client-side workplace services representative, you will report directly to the Senior Facilities Business Partner for your area and have real influence over how services are delivered.

You will focus on understanding customer requirements whilst identifying opportunities to continuously improve both service delivery and the office environment. Working closely with on-site suppliers, technical specialists and property professions, you will act as an intelligent client to oversee and challenge the performance of contractors and ensure services meet the required standards.

Person specification

To meet the requirements of this role, you will have:

  • Experience of handling workplace incidents, issues, or service disruptions, and coordinating responses with stakeholders.
  • Experience of chairing or contributing to meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of communicating operational changes clearly to building users, leadership teams, and stakeholders, reflecting the office communications and change management aspect of the job.
  • Experience of building effective relationships and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • A membership of (or be willing to work towards) a building related professional body, for example IWFM, CIBSE, CIOB or RICS.
  • A NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (or willing to work towards).

Where an individual taking up the responsibility will be based in Swansea Office, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable.

This role requires regular travel, typically averaging one day per week in your designated home office and two days per week across other HMLR offices. Travel and subsistence costs will be reimbursed in line with the HMLR Travel and Subsistence Policy once in post. Please note that this does not include travel to your designated home office.

Candidates should also be aware that any travel expenses incurred when attending interviews for this role will not be covered by HMLR.

HMLR believe that a blended approach to where you work that enables some time working from home, as well as in the office may give you an improved experience and has clear business benefits. We expect everyone to spend at least 60% of their working time in the office. Beyond this expectation, there is no one size fits all approach (and we can spend up to 100% working in the office if we prefer).

For more information about the role, please see the attached job description.
