Adventure Wellbeing School is an innovative and nurturing Independent School committed to improving outcomes for pupils with SEN/SEMH.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN/SEMH Teacher to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in delivering personalised, engaging, and impactful learning experiences that support our pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning profiles
  • Implement and review EHCPs in collaboration with SENCo and external professionals
  • Use assessment data to inform teaching and promote progress
  • Foster pupils’ independence, self-esteem, and resilience
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and external agencies to support holistic development
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers to ensure continuity of support
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with SEN/SEMH
  • Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and effective differentiation strategies
  • Excellent behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
  • A nurturing, patient, and reflective approach
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and inclusive practice.
