We are looking for a passionate and driven professional with a background in Adult Social Care to help shape services that protect and improve the lives of vulnerable adults.
The role…
As the Team Manager, Safeguarding and DoLS, the main functions of the role are:
- To be the Safeguarding Adults Lead for Rutland County Council, ensuring practice is in line with Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Safeguarding Adults Boards Policies and Procedures
- Work collaboratively with partners to facilitate the identification of harm and abuse, chair safeguarding meetings and lead on development of protection plans
- Evaluate safeguarding data to identify themes and performance requirements
- To provide professional guidance and expertise for Community Deprivation of Liberty casework and oversee complex safeguarding cases
Who you are…
To be successful in the role you will need:
- Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
- Experienced in line management and associated responsibilities
- Proven ability to work within legal frameworks
- Ability to work collaboratively with your peers across Adult Social Care and the Integrated Care System and other external partners
- Able to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS and Social Work England registration are paid by us.
Please note the postholder will need to have a full driving licence as driving around the county is essential.
The Team Manager, Safeguarding and DoLS interviews will be held face to face on 05 August 2026.Please be advised this could be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.
