Title: Data & Information Apprentice
Contract Type: FTC until 14/09/2029, Full-Time, 35 hours
Salary: £27,009 per annum (London weighted salary) or £24,545 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience
Grade: Apprentice Level 4 Data Analyst UK
Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford
Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Interview Dates: 1st stage will take place on Monday 3rd August 2026 (Virtual) 2nd stage Wednesday 5th August 26 (F2F with skills assessment) *Please note that in person interviews will be held for at least one of the interview stages for this role.

Introduction:
The Data & Information team plays a critical role in supporting L&Q’s ambition to become a data‑ and insight‑driven organisation. We work across the business to improve data quality, strengthen governance, and deliver reporting and insights that drive better decisions and better outcomes for residents.
Overview of the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in data and analytics. As a Data & Information Apprentice, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across the full data lifecycle—from data quality and governance through to reporting and insight.
You’ll work on real business challenges from day one, supporting teams across L&Q to ensure data is accurate, trusted, and used effectively. Alongside your role, you’ll complete a Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship, building the skills needed for a successful career in data. You will be engaged in a challenging role from day one and be accountable for your area of responsibility whilst being supported by a project manager and line manager to guide and develop skills where required.

Your impact in the role:
- Support data collection, cleansing, validation, and maintenance across systems
- Assist in producing reports, dashboards, and visualisations
- Help identify and resolve data quality issues
- Contribute to data governance activities (metadata, documentation, standards)
- Work with colleagues across the business to support reporting needs
- Ensure data is handled securely and in line with GDPR and L&Q policies
This role directly supports improving data quality, strengthening reporting, and enabling better decision-making across L&Q.
What you'll bring:
- x3 A Levels (or equivalent) aligned to programme entry requirements; Maths and English at GCSE Level 4 (or equivalent)
A strong interest in data, analytics, or technology
Analytical thinking and attention to detail
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn new tools and techniques
Ability to work collaboratively in a team
Understanding of the importance of data protection and confidentiality
Experience using Excel or data tools
Awareness of Power BI or data visualisation
Basic understanding of data concepts or reporting
Interest in data governance or data quality
