About Us

Oxfordshire County Council’s Facilities Management Team have a great opportunity for someone to start or build on their career in Facilities. We are recruiting a Senior Facilities Assistant for Union Street Children and Family Centre, with an option to support colleagues in other locations around Oxfordshire. The candidate would be supporting the Facilities Manager and Assistant Facilities Manager and the role gives an insightful introduction to FM and office administration.

About the Role

The Senior Facilities Assistant will provide a full range of property and premises support duties. They will provide face to face support to clients and stakeholders in addition to facilitating the smooth running of the building. This post holder is responsible for ensuring that all relevant County policies and procedures are adhered to and concerns are raised in accordance with these policies. This is a fully office-based role with no opportunity for home working. The working hours are Monday – Thursday 8.30-5pm and Friday 8.30-4pm.

About you

You will be a proactive and confident facilities professional with experience in a busy, customer-facing environment, able to manage competing priorities while maintaining high service standards. You’ll have strong communication skills, a good understanding of health and safety, and the ability to resolve issues independently, while also supporting and guiding colleagues. We’re looking for someone organised, reliable and adaptable, with experience in facilities services and a commitment to delivering excellent service in line with organisational values.

Your office base may be subject to change as we are currently transitioning between temporary and permanent office locations due to the closure of County Hall. If this is applicable to you, you will be notified, but no reimbursement will apply in respect of travel.
