About Us

Job Title: Housing Application Development and Support Officer

Salary Range: £43,545 – £55,992 per annum

Permanent – Fulltime (36 Hours)

Location: Wandsworth, London

Other essential information: This is a hybrid role, currently mostly remote

Are you someone who enjoys using technology to improve services, solve problems and help people get the best from business systems?

As a Housing Application Development and Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting, developing and improving NEC Housing, the department’s core digital system for delivering housing services to residents.

You will provide frontline support to users, gather and document requirements, test and implement system changes, and help ensure that new processes and modules are introduced effectively. You will also produce SQL reports and Power BI dashboards, deliver user training, maintain guidance materials, and contribute to continuous improvement so that the system supports efficient, accurate and resident-focused service delivery.

About the role

  • Provide front line support for users of NEC Housing
  • Lead on supporting and developing NEC Housing
  • Collect and document user requirements, plan system changes, and manage testing (UAT)
  • Manage the implementation of new processes and modules within NEC
  • Review existing workflows and recommend improvements to drive efficiency and improve digital solutions
  • Write sql reports and design Power Bi dashboards to meet the department’s reporting requirements
  • Provide NEC Housing training to users and maintain training materials
  • Attend NEC User Group meetings to keep up to date with developments and share best practice

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

As a Housing Application Development & Support Officer you should have previous experience in:

  • Have experience with database design and development
  • You should have previous experience writing SQL scripts
  • Be able to design Power Bi dashboards
  • You should be able to design and delivering IT training
  • You should also have a working knowledge of Local Authority housing legislation and procedures.

Salary range
