About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a bright, dynamic and ambitious person to join Barnet Council as an Administrator in our Risk Outside the Home team.

The role will provide administrative and clerical support to the service maintaining business support and data systems that enable a clear oversight and escalation of young people who go missing or at risk of violence and exploitation.

You will coordinate arrange and administrate various; quarterly, monthly and ad hoc multi agency high risk incident meetings including; Strategic Risk Outside the Home (STROTH) Panel, Tackling Violence and Exploitation Panel, Partnership intelligence briefings, Complex Strategy and mapping meetings. You will also record, and distribute accurate, timely and comprehensive minutes and track agreed actions of panel meetings as well as complex strategy discussions chaired by the Strategic Lead for Vulnerable Adolescents.

About you

You will be:

  • Experienced in taking and distributing confidential minutes in line with Data Protection policy, and ensuring minutes are distributed in accordance with deadlines.
  • Experienced in complex diary management, coordination of multi agency meetings.
  • Experienced in maintaining team business management systems.
  • Knowledgeable and understanding of safeguarding and children’s family services.
  • Able to ensure that client confidentiality is always maintained.
  • Able to carry out procedures to collect and provide statistical information and ensure children’s records are accurately updated.
  • Able to understand budget monitoring and procurement processes.
  • Able to communicate effectively with members of the public and various stakeholders.
  • Understanding of partnership and multi-agency working and have an ability to work well alongside colleagues with different roles and experiences.
