Family Help Social Worker

Family Help Social Worker

Social Care
£43,680 - £51,138 per year

Join Enfield’s Integrated Family Help Service

Enfield are looking to recruit experienced social work practitioners’ level 3 to join our new Pre-Birth/New Born Family Help Team.

Social Work Practitioner Full or Part-Time Salary Range £43,680 - £51,138

The Family Help Service is an integrated preventive service that brings together advanced social work practitioners, social work practitioners and family help practitioners, working alongside one another to offer support to children and families in need that require a range of coordinated interventions from targeted early help through to child protection.

We are excited to invite applications from passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Social Workers to join our newly formed Pre-Birth & Newborn Family Help Team. The team work alongside expectant parents and families with newborn babies, providing timely support, building resilience and promoting positive outcomes from the earliest stages of a child’s life. We are seeking qualified Social Workers registered with Social Work England who have a strong understanding of the diverse needs of children and families and are committed to strengths-based, relationship-focused practice that empowers families and creates lasting change.

As a Social Worker within the Pre-Birth & Newborn Family Help Team, you will manage a varied caseload, working closely with parents and carers to build on family strengths, prevent family breakdown and improve outcomes for babies and their families. You will demonstrate experience in applying strengths-based approaches to assessment, planning and review processes, supporting families to identify solutions, overcome challenges and achieve sustainable positive change.

This is a great opportunity to join an excellent service that works together with families to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people. We are in an exciting period of transformation with our new integrated family help teams having recently gone live. The Family help Teams will be supported by a developing, strong MACPT (multi-agency child protection team) that will be going live towards the end of the year.

Our leadership culture is grounded in openness, learning and shared responsibility, with a commitment to supporting staff with their wellbeing, alongside professional development and achieving best practice. You will be joining a service that has high standards, values professional curiosity, collective accountability and innovation, creating the conditions for everyone to do their best work to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

Enfield is committed to supporting staff to develop their skills and as such offers a comprehensive induction and a bespoke training programme available to all case holding practitioners. You will receive high-quality support from an experienced manager and given opportunities to contribute to service developments.

Enfield’s Centre of Excellence confirms our commitment to creating and maintaining an environment for new and existing staff to be the best, delivering high quality case work to our most vulnerable children and young people. It brings our recruitment, professional development and support into the one portal for staff to see what we have to offer and how we are supporting them to continue to learn and develop on a professional basis.
