Facilities Assistant
Job summary
Working in the Facilities Team with our Facilities Manager for the North of England and the other Team Members, you will play a critical role in helping deliver the overall operation function Facilities and Physical Security activity for Homes England in the office. You will be joining our small but enthusiastic, friendly and experienced team of 17 people, who are committed to making positive changes in how we manage Homes England’s accommodation to maximise space, minimise costs and provide for the efficient functioning of colleagues working in our offices.
The Facilities Team are dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service, resolving all FM tasks within agreed published SLA (Service Level Agreement) wherever possible, taking an innovative and creative approach to Facilities and Physical Security Management issues. The Facilities Manager for the North values diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving within the team.

Working with key stakeholders and a professional Facilities Management team you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective resolution of high volumes of tasks and have the opportunity to help create an effective platform to achieve this.

There are some exciting and ambitious projects to get involved in around Facilities and Physical Security Management, and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions to the overall Facilities Management service offering.
Job description
You'll be comfortable supporting the Facilities Manager for the North of England with complex operational issues, aiming to optimise the organisational environment, enabling the organisation to succeed. You will be proficient in delivering high quality facilities services within property and facilities related environments, with the ability to problem solve creatively.

Person specification
Qualifications, knowledge and experience
- Five GCSEs or equivalent business-related BTEC/HND qualification.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and statutory fire safety requirements.
- Experience in facilities operations including reception, building management, and office support.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in workplace settings.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in Facilities Management and related fields.
