Children may be referred into the prevention team from the Police, VRP, CSC, Education or from the multi-agency Daily Safety Briefing team.A key element of the role is the delivery of child first, trauma responsive interventions often on a 121 basis or in groups. Preventative Caseworkers engage with children to assess and plan their interventions to include opportunities to support children’s engagement in postpro social activities.Interventions are regularly held in schools or college or at their home or in a community settings including the YJPS premises. The aim is to help residents sustain their tenancies, improve financial resilience, and complement the support offered by generic Housing Officers. Money Advisers work collaboratively within Housing Offices and the wider community, offering specialist expertise in welfare benefits, debt management, and budgeting. Senior Anti-Social Behaviour Officer

We are looking for an experienced anti-social behaviour (ASB) officer to join the Communities team at Sefton Council. The successful candidate will lead our response to preventing and tackling anti-social behaviour on a neighbourhood footprint as part of our collaborative efforts to build safer, stronger communities.
This role provides an opportunity to make a difference and create safer, more inclusive communities. It will provide a consistent approach to community safety, blending prevention, diversion and enforcement to help communities deal with potential and actual anti-social behaviour.
The role will provide an effective contact for customers reporting ASB to create a culture of confidence in our services, investigating and responding to all ASB complaints.

What you will need to succeed
We are looking for someone that can evidence a proven track record or who can demonstrate ability of working restoratively with victims and offenders to promote behaviour change and reduce community impact. This will be whilst managing a safer neighbourhoods caseload including initial assessment of seriousness and priority, investigation and legal recourse.
The role will also develop effective partnerships across neighbourhoods to address complex cases and issues identified in neighbourhood plans, developing action plans with partners and leading the implementation of these plans to enhance community safety.
You will need experience in the delivery of frontline anti-social behaviour case work, and experience of and the ability to work within a multi-agency team and be able to work collaboratively with colleagues in neighbourhood teams to update them on cases and issues within communities.
You will also need to have knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in restorative justice, anti-social behaviour, and community safety partnerships. Applying current criminal and civil legislation related to anti-social behaviour across all housing tenures, with practical interpretation skills will also be vital. As well as making best use of legal resources, conducting court advocacy, and liaising with legal services providers where necessary.
 It will be a key part of the role to undertake research and investigate opportunities for action and best practice, and to identify funding sources, prepare bids, and to seek to maximise effective use of resources for safer neighbourhood’s work.

Joint Waste Solutions Assistant Monitoring Officer (West)
Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity tackling environmental issues?
This role will help support the management of the joint waste collection and street cleansing contract, driving service improvements and helping residents to understand the recycling service, overcoming any issues they may experience and avoid contaminating their recycling.
At Joint Waste Solutions (JWS), there is an East operations team, managing the services in Elmbridge and Mole Valley and a West operations team who manage services for Surrey Heath and Woking Borough Councils.
In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety of the public by checking the service providers’ staff are complying with the safe systems of work and by conducting crew checks. While ensuring civic pride through monitoring street cleaning, reporting defective levels of cleanliness, and following up to ensure the issue has been rectified.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The successful candidate will have experience of monitoring contracts and using performance management systems as well as experience of providing a good standard of customer care. An understanding of environmental issues as well as a knowledge of health and safety legislation is beneficial but not essential. You’ll need excellent verbal and written communications skills, be able to get involved in a range of projects and deliver them to deadline, as well as a methodological approach to information gathering, recording and reporting.
This vacancy with the West Operations team (Surrey Heath and Woking) is a permanent, part-time position of 22 hours with flexibility to fulfil these hours across the working week.

Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity tackling environmental issues?
This role will help support the management of the joint waste collection and street cleansing contract, driving service improvements and helping residents to understand the recycling service, overcoming any issues they may experience and avoid contaminating their recycling.
At Joint Waste Solutions (JWS), there is an East operations team, managing the services in Elmbridge and Mole Valley and a West operations team who manage services for Surrey Heath and Woking Borough Councils.
In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety of the public by checking the service providers’ staff are complying with the safe systems of work and by conducting crew checks. While ensuring civic pride through monitoring street cleaning, reporting defective levels of cleanliness, and following up to ensure the issue has been rectified.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The successful candidate will have experience of monitoring contracts and using performance management systems as well as experience of providing a good standard of customer care. An understanding of environmental issues as well as a knowledge of health and safety legislation is beneficial but not essential. You’ll need excellent verbal and written communications skills, be able to get involved in a range of projects and deliver them to deadline, as well as a methodological approach to information gathering, recording and reporting.
This vacancy with the East Operations team (Elmbridge and Mole Valley) is a full time position of 37 hours, on a fixed term basis for 12-months, with the possibility of an extension beyond that point.
