Job description

In this role, you’ll:

  • Print and distribute committee circulations, ensuring full and accurate record keeping and effective communication with customers.
  • Liaise with the Printed Paper Office to ensure the timely delivery of documents and to maintain an awareness of customer demand.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks on all print equipment and log callouts for complex faults with the Unit’s equipment supplier, maintaining records to ensure issues are dealt with promptly or escalated when appropriate.

Person specification

  • Knowledge of print processes and terminology, and familiarity with production print pre-press software.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload to complete tasks on time and to a high standard.
  • The ability to work independently but also to be flexible within a team and share responsibility for ensuring that excellent customer service standards are upheld.
  • Good communication skills and capable of dealing with a range of customers and queries, providing advice, and setting expectations with confidence.

It would be even better if you have (or are willing to learn):

  • A basic understanding of the work of the House of Lords.
