Our Housing Needs service is seeking a dynamic and committed Income Recovery Officer to join the team. In this essential position, you will focus on maximising income through effective income recovery strategies and proactively preventing arrears to ensure homeless households can successfully maintain their temporary accommodation.

You will be the primary point of contact relating to rent and storage accounts for temporary accommodation placements, effectively managing all income recovery operations within the service. Utilising a person-centred approach to income recovery, your key responsibilities involve identifying vulnerable individuals at high risk of falling behind on payments, performing detailed financial assessments, and providing support for universal credit or housing benefit claims. Additionally, you will implement enforcement actions as required, including the preparation of documents for court proceedings.

You will engage with storage and temporary accommodation providers to verify all billing before payments are issued and handle the recovery of any overpayments.

We provide tailored training to develop your skills, whether you're new to the role or an experienced professional.

If this sounds like the role for you, we look forward to receiving your application!

The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced with Adults Barred list DBS check clearance.
