As a Portage Visitor you will provide a home-visiting service for pre-school children with developmental or learning difficulties, physical disabilities and/or other special needs. You will help parents to encourage their children's development by suggesting activities and daily routines to make learning fun. You will also support the running of Portage groups held in our local children centres. 
Training on the model recommended by the National Portage Association will be provided if needed.

The LCRCA is seeking an experienced Events Manager to project manage a diverse, interesting and busy programme of corporate and city region-wide events – ranging from Party Conferences, international summits and Ministerial visits to cultural events, launches, project milestones and high profiles conferences involving the Mayor, Cabinet Members and the CA’s executives.
This is a 12 month secondment opportunity for Internal colleagues only.&nbsp;
 About the Role
Principal duties include:
<ul>

•‍Event Planning: Lead the end-to-end planning process for LCRCA events, including defining objectives, developing event concepts, creating timelines, and managing budgets.</li>
<li>
•‍Corporate Affairs: Design insight led targeted corporate affairs face to face influencing initiatives with local, regional and national stakeholders including the mayor and government figures.</li>
<li>
•‍Management: Empower, mentor and manage an Events Officer, and work with wider teams within the LCRCA across multiple concurrent events.</li>
<li>
•‍Venue Selection and Logistics: Research and secure venues that align with event requirements and budget constraints. Coordinate logistics such as catering, audiovisual equipment, transportation, and accommodations.</li>
<li>
•‍Programme Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop event agendas, speaker programs, and entertainment options that align with event objectives and audience preferences.</li>
<li>
•‍Vendor Management: Identify and manage relationships with event vendors, including caterers, audiovisual providers, decorators, and transportation companies. Negotiate contracts and ensure vendors deliver high-quality services within budget and timeline constraints.</li>
<li>
•‍Promotion and Marketing: Work closely with communications colleagues to promote events through various channels, including email campaigns, social media, websites, and print materials. Develop compelling event messaging and collateral to attract attendees and generate excitement.</li>
<li>
•‍Registration and Attendee Management: Implement registration systems and processes to efficiently manage attendee registration, ticketing, and check-in. Provide support and assistance to attendees before, during, and after events to ensure a positive experience.</li>
<li>
•‍On-Site Coordination: Oversee all aspects of event execution on-site, including set-up, registration, speaker management, technical support, and attendee engagement. Troubleshoot any issues or emergencies that may arise during events.</li>
<li>
•‍Post-Event Evaluation: Analyse feedback from attendees, sponsors, and stakeholders to identify event success and identify areas for improvement. Analyse event metrics, such as attendance, engagement, and satisfaction, to measure ROI and inform future event planning efforts.</li>

About the person
We are looking for an events professional with experience as an events producer, someone who has high attention to detail whilst being able to develop and execute a strong vision for impactful events, and work with multiple partners.&nbsp; Interpersonal skills are critical, as is an ability to manage a portfolio of projects, to time, cost and quality.&nbsp; We are looking for innovation, flexibility, and a team player but also a lead subject matter expert to lift the CA’s events provision to an even more professional level.

Leading the Countryside Rangers you will work with the Countryside Officer to manage Elmbridge`s diverse and extensive countryside estate. The estate covers 625 hectares of land and you will help with all aspects of countryside management including heathland, woodlands and wetland.
A skilled conservation manager with enthusiasm for nature conservation. 
An enthusiastic individual is sought for an immediate start. Must demonstrate interest in nature conservation and possess a current driving licence.
You will be able to demonstrate that you can,

<li>Implement the annual review of the Countryside Strategy, instigate and assist in its review, including woodland management, nature conservation and public consultation.</li>
<li>Ensure staff are trained in all works expected to be undertaken including training on Health and Safety Regulations.</li>
<li>Undertake and monitor tree works in the absence of the Arboriculture and Countryside Officer. Have an overview of the Arboricultural Service to enable informed answers to customers enquiries.</li>
<li>Procurement of countryside management works- for example forestry contracts and an annual ditch maintenance contract</li>
<li>Liaison with local conservation groups and recording of ecological surveys on Council owned land.</li>
