About the role
We’re looking for a motivated Estates Surveyor to help manage and enhance the Council’s diverse land and property portfolio. You’ll deliver a professional, efficient estates service—handling lettings and landlord/tenant matters, negotiating rent reviews and lease renewals, carrying out valuations and inspections, instructing Legal on transactions, and contributing to our disposals programme. You’ll also respond to property enquiries from residents, tenants, Council Members and colleagues.
Key responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Day-to-day management of tenanted land and property, ensuring compliance with repairing and other covenants.</li>
<li>Inspections and valuations for insurance, condition and compliance, including schedules and inventories.</li>
<li>Negotiate rent reviews, lease renewals, assignments and other landlord’s consents.</li>
<li>Prepare clear instructions to Legal Services and support committee reporting as needed.</li>
<li>Assist with land and property disposals, including securing planning consent to meet targets.</li>

About you
<ul>
<li>Qualification: Associate Member of RICS (AssocRICS) or equivalent.</li>
<li>Experience: Some experience in a property/estates role, including negotiations for acquisitions, disposals and lettings.</li>
<li>Knowledge: Sound knowledge of estates management practice, and awareness of the role of property within an organisation.</li>
<li>Skills: Strong communication (written and verbal), negotiation and influencing skills; good IT capability; able to prioritise, work accurately with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively. Ability to travel within the borough.</li>

Senior Information Governance Advisor

<h4>Job summary</h4>We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide effective support to a member of our Casework Team who is deaf. The team member’s role involves reviewing cases and investigating suspected miscarriages of justice. This includes examining material from the police, prosecution, courts and defence, as well as records from prisons, the NHS and local authorities. They may also interview applicants and witnesses or instruct experts in a range of forensic and scientific disciplines.Your role will be to provide high-quality notetaking support to enable them to carry out their responsibilities effectively. This will include supporting them during key meetings and training sessions, transcribing audio material such as body-worn camera footage, and being present during some calls. When not providing direct support, you will assist our Casework Administration team with non-urgent administrative tasks. This may include preparing case documents, updating manuals and procedures, dealing with correspondence, and other routine clerical tasks. It is essential that your working hours align with those of the individual you will be supporting; therefore, this position is offered as a full-time role only. <h4> Job Description </h4>Overview The London Borough of Harrow is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to take on the pivotal role of Team Manager – Single Homeless and Rough Sleeping &amp; Co-ordination within the Housing Services Division.This critical leadership position is responsible for managing and coordinating Harrow’s operational and strategic response to single homelessness and rough sleeping. You will lead a dedicated team delivering frontline homelessness prevention and rough sleeping services, ensuring residents receive timely, effective support to access housing solutions and reduce the risk of homelessness. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will make key decisions on eligibility for emergency accommodation and oversee complex cases involving vulnerable individuals with multiple needs.A core focus of the role is driving initiatives to tackle and end rough sleeping in Harrow. You will work collaboratively with commissioned outreach services, voluntary sector partners, and statutory agencies to implement innovative solutions, monitor performance, and share best practice. The successful candidate will demonstrate expert knowledge of homelessness legislation, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to inspire and lead teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services. About You The successful candidate will have:<ul><li>Educated to degree level or equivalent, or possess equivalent relevant experience in housing, homelessness, or a related field.</li><li>Proven experience in managing and coordinating services addressing single homelessness and rough sleeping, including frontline assessment and decision-making on emergency accommodation eligibility.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of homelessness legislation (such as Parts VI and VII of the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Code of Guidance) and the Homelessness &amp; Rough Sleeping Strategy frameworks.</li><li>Strong leadership skills with experience supervising, mentoring, and developing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals in crisis, partner agencies, and commissioned outreach providers.</li><li>Ability to analyse complex cases, make timely decisions, balance competing priorities, and work under pressure to meet performance targets.</li><li>Experience in multi-agency collaboration and partnership working to design and deliver innovative solutions for rough sleeping.</li><li>Competence in data management and performance monitoring to track outcomes, inform service improvement, and meet strategic objectives.</li></ul>This post will require a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
