<h3>About you...</h3>
You must have a current Social Work England registration and have successfully completed your ASYE in a statutory children social care setting. We are looking for someone with experience of working with children and families that includes Child in Need and Child protection.
To succeed in this role, you will have knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, policies and thresholds. You will also be able to demonstrate strong assessment and analytical skills. You should have experience of working in partnership with children and their families and other professionals, to produce needs led plans for children and young people. You will have the ability to work both independently and effectively as part of a team.
Experience of working with children with disabilities and complex needs&nbsp;is desirable but not essential, as we will support you to develop this specialist knowledge.

The Children’s Specialist Support Team (CSST) is a highly skilled team working with children who have disabilities and/or complex health needs. We are an experienced, friendly and supportive team who focuses on ensuring that children are at the centre of all we do.&nbsp; We provide a range of services for children with additional needs and those who are assessed to have additional vulnerability. This includes the council’s statutory responsibilities for disabled Children in Need in the community (including care packages and short breaks).
The team is an eclectic mix of different service areas covering a wide breadth of work with children with disabilities, Occupational Therapy, Short Breaks (including Larchwood, our short break respite unit), Taking a child first and social model approach. Partnership and collaborative working is the key to our success.
The team is well integrated with local partners and works alongside specialist workers in domestic abuse, mental health and substance misuse, often in co-located settings.

Shared Lives is a care and support service which offers an alternative to supported living or residential care. We support adults to live independently in their community with the support of a family and community network. It can be described as a bit like fostering, but for adults. People are matched based on shared interests, lifestyles, and sense of humour. Shared lives offer a rewarding and flexible way to support someone in your family home.
The people we support attend day service, work placement, volunteer or have day support from another carer Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for supporting an individual who is carefully matched to your family with daily living skills. Placements can be short or long term. As a shared lives carer, you could support- People with Learning disabilities, Autism, Mental health issues, Acquired Brain Injury, Mum and baby, Dementia or people who need support after living in a Domestic Violence environment. Hawley Woods School provides a specialist environment and support primarily for autistic children and those needing a similarly adapted approach with small classes of 6-8 pupils within our calm, nurturing setting. We’re looking for a confident and experienced Collections and Exhibitions Manager to join our Heritage Service as maternity cover. The role is responsible for our collection of over 100,000 objects and our exhibitions and activities programme across our four attractions; Guildford Museum, Castle, Guildhall and Guildford House. The successful candidate will be able to work proactively, flexibly and efficiently to support our small team delivering curated exhibitions, collections care and development, loans in/ out whilst maintaining all relevant industry standards.
In addition, the role is responsible for the relocation of our off-site stores which will happen in the summer of 2026. This encompasses rationalisation and disposal of objects according to our own, and industry, policies, processes and standards, as well as all logistics to move the majority of our collection of objects to our new stores.

About the role&nbsp;&nbsp;
As a Tenancy Relations Officer, you’ll play a vital role in promoting lawful tenancy practices, supporting tenants at risk of illegal eviction, and fostering positive relationships between landlords and tenants in preparation, and then leading on, the changes required in response to the Renters Rights Bill due to be introduced early 2026. You’ll provide expert advice on landlord and tenant law, conduct investigations, and represent cases in court when necessary.&nbsp;

About you&nbsp;
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of housing legislation and homelessness prevention, with experience working in a customer-driven, multi-disciplinary environment. They will be capable of managing a personal caseload while consistently meeting performance targets. Skilled in influencing and negotiation, legal procedures, and evidence preparation, they will also demonstrate excellent communication abilities and the capacity to build effective partnerships across agencies.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Hertsmere Borough Council are looking for Refuse/ Recycling Loaders, to join our efficient street cleansing, waste and recycling collection service within and around Hertsmere.
The job involves collecting all types of refuse and recycling waste, from litter bins, residential bins and trade bins, and loading them into the refuse vehicle.&nbsp; You will need to have excellent fitness levels and be capable of walking for 8 to 12 miles per day.
You will need proven experience of heavy manual work involving lifting, and be capable of pulling and emptying refuse bins.&nbsp; You should have a customer service approach to service delivery, communicating positively and working efficiently in a team.&nbsp; You should be self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.

We’re looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team in supporting SEND children and young people aged 5–16 who attend the Club Hub. These sessions are funded through a range of programmes including the Department for Education’s HAF Programme, the Hardship Alliance for extended SEND provision, and Short Breaks.
We deliver high-quality care through fun and engaging activities for children and young people with SEND after school, during school holidays, and one Saturday a month. As a Playworker, your main role will be to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.

Who are we?
Hawley Woods School provides a specialist environment and support primarily for autistic children and those needing a similarly adapted approach with small classes of 6-8 pupils within our calm, nurturing setting. Our school caters for children from the age of 7 up to 16 years (Key Stages 2, 3 and 4). 
We help children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who may be struggling to keep up with the pace of work, may be losing confidence, or struggling with the overwhelming sensory environment of their mainstream school. We also help children who have been out of education for a period of time, to positively re-engage in an education which takes into account any negative experiences they may have had in schools so far.
