Job summary

Working in a team with Head of Place for South Yorkshire and East Yorkshire, reporting to Senior Manager, the Manager role in the North East Yorkshire & the Humber Place Team will play a critical role in progressing a pipeline of housing projects on this patch.

You will be joining our small but friendly and experienced team of 5 people, who are committed to making positive change in how partnership working is delivered across South and East Yorkshire.

Our team believes in delivering great customer service to our partners, resolving any issues informally wherever possible, and taking an innovative and creative approach to delivery wherever possible. The team believes in working in a collaborative and flexible way to foster good decision making and problem solving on our patch.

Job description

This is a great opportunity to shape local housing delivery in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professionals you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective delivery of our place based plans and the have the opportunity to help to tangible delivery on the ground.

The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic projects around South and East Yorkshire, and specifically Sheffield and Hull. There are some exciting projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions to housing delivery.

Person specification

You'll be comfortable supporting South and East Yorkshire Place Team with complex funding and delivery issues, aiming to help turn our pipeline of sites into starts on sites. You will be proficient in organising meetings, dealing with partners, project management, systems and Excel.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do on patch. You will enjoy working in an innovative and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

You’ll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
