Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for registering all births, deaths and marriages which occur within the Wokingham District.
To act as a Deputy Superintendent Registrar when required and support in the smooth running of the Service.
Identify and support opportunities for the development and commercialisation of the service.

Other duties include the production of copy certificates and taking part in marriage, citizenship and other non-statutory ceremonies.

Candidate Requirements: 

Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences
Ability to understand and apply complex legal regulations.
Experience of training staff and giving support and professional direction to deputy and casual registrars
To be able to work, when necessary, at weekends for faith death registrations as well as attend ceremonies.
Previous registration experience of births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships as a Deputy Registrar is essential.
