Job Introduction

Lincolnshire County Council’s Transport Services Group plays a vital role in keeping our communities connected and provide transport for students across the county to access education and social care settings.

We are now recruiting Support Officers to join our Client Operations and Network Design Teams. These roles sit within one of three operational areas, each with its own focus:

Our Three Teams

  • Mainstream Home to School Transport – Focused on accurate data inputting, route planning and supporting the delivery of statutory school transport.
  • SEND Transport – Centred on stakeholder engagement, working closely with families, schools and transport providers to ensure safe, reliable travel for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • CallConnect – Supporting our on‑demand bus service, helping residents access flexible transport options that connect communities across Lincolnshire.

About the Role

As a Transport Support Officer, you will play a key part in arranging transport for multiple users across the county. This includes school journeys, SEND travel and our CallConnect on‑demand bus service. You will handle a variety of transport‑related enquiries within a relaxed but busy office environment, where you’ll be trained to provide expert advice to the residents of Lincolnshire.

Working Arrangements

CallConnect’s operating hours are: Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 19:00 Saturday: 08:00 – 18:00.You will be required to work a set shift pattern within these operating hours which will include working either 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 Saturday’s.

The Mainstream and SEND Transport Teams operate within a hybrid working environment, providing coverage Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pmthrough a rota-based system.

Salary range

  • £25,989 - £27,254 per year
