About the role
As a key member of the Property Strategy and Estates team, you will provide professional property and strategic estate management advice to internal stakeholders while supporting the Property Strategy Manager in delivering a wide range of projects and initiatives. You will play an important role in managing and delivering a diverse programme of work across the Council’s operational and investment property portfolio, which comprises more than 1,000 assets, often working to challenging deadlines and competing priorities.
Drawing on your expertise in estate management and strategic property planning, you will contribute to the development and implementation of property strategies that support organisational objectives and service transformation programmes.
Working closely with colleagues across the Council, you will build strong relationships with service areas to identify property solutions, maximise asset value, and help deliver effective, efficient, and sustainable outcomes.
Additional information
You will be educated to degree level or possess equivalent professional experience in a discipline requiring complex analytical and problem-solving skills.
A full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle is required.
You will have a strong and up-to-date understanding of public sector asset management principles, techniques, and best-practice toolkits, enabling you to provide informed advice and support the effective management of a diverse property portfolio. Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to interpret complex information and translate it into practical recommendations are essential.
