You will have a varied role and have the ability to deal with crisis situations and will be expected to facilitate safe discharge for service users from hospital into the community.The postholder will be required to support and safeguard vulnerable service users through difficult periods in their lives, therefore effective communication and organisational skills are essential.The successful applicant must possess Diploma / Degree in Social Work or predecessor qualification and Post Qualifying Awards for Consolidating Practice and Enabling Practice or equivalent. If you do not hold the Approved Mental Health Professional Award you will be expected to undertake this training in order to fulfil the role.Applicants must be registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales. The current registration requirements state that, completion of the Consolidation of Practice qualification within your first 3 years of practice is mandatory (if you qualified after 1st April 2016).
