The Principal Data Engineer will identify opportunities for automation and process improvement, coach and mentor data engineers, set coding standards and best practices, implement and document data integrity and quality checks, optimise queries, and facilitate data engineering collaboration across the team. The Principal Data Engineer will work hand in glove with the Principal Data Platform Engineer and the Data Domain Architect to ensure that the data platform and data pipeline design is optimised and reliable within Google Cloud Platform, documenting the approach and explaining the solution to engineers and non-technical business users.  Brentwood Borough Council has an exciting opportunity for the recruitment of a Housing Support Officer. The successful applicant will support the most vulnerable residents in the borough from assessing their eligibility for Independent Living Accommodation (formerly known as sheltered accommodation), reporting repairs within communal areas, compliance checks on telecare equipment, completing forms and where necessary, safeguarding referrals.  &nbsp;
You will have experience of work with vulnerable people, good IT skills and have worked in a customer focused environment previously. This role is fast paced and will vary from day to day with a variety of tasks being required which will assist your colleagues in the wider Housing Estates Team.   &nbsp;
The successful applicant will:  &nbsp;

<li>Have proven administrative experience required especially dealing with Microsoft Excel, word and outlook.  &nbsp;</li>

<li>Be able to work closely in a team environment, left to self-manage their working day to meet output levels. &nbsp;</li>

<li>Demonstrable evidence of working in a customer service/focussed environment &nbsp;</li>

You’ll travel to the people’s homes to support them with regaining skills and confidence to enable them to become more independent, actively promoting their choice and dignity.&nbsp;It’s an incredibly rewarding role, every day and every visit are different! You’ll work with autonomy and independence but within a close-knit team, and you’ll have regular support from the Reablement Team Manager.You’ll also work closely with other our health partners such as the intermediate care team.A full driving license and access to your own vehicle is required. Shift Pattern:&nbsp;Cycle: 4 days on, followed by 4 days offShift Breakdown (per 4-day block):&nbsp;2 Morning Shifts : 07:00 – 11:302 Evening Shifts : 18:00 – 22:30Total Weekly Hours: 16At £14.88 -£15.68 per hour, depending on experience. &nbsp;Your office base will be Chedworth Close in Ecton Brook, Northampton. Day to day, you’ll see multiple individuals in their own homes, you’ll sometimes visit with a colleague but mostly you’ll work on your own.&nbsp;You’ll then visit them regularly to monitor progress and support them with day-to-day activities which could include personal care, meal preparation, mobility and accessing the community with the aim of enabling them to regain their independence. &nbsp;Managing Reablement journeys, from initial assessment through to discharge. Meeting people after referral to assess their needs and support each individual to and support in the planning of their Reablement goals. Signposting them to other agencies where appropriate, for example Assistive Technology, Age UK, Northamptonshire Carers etc.About you You’ll be confident working independently and have the ability to handle unexpected situations or challenges, being able to identify the source of a problem and find an effective solution.Experience within a health or social care setting, and either currently have, or be willing to work towards, NVQ level 2 in Health &amp; Social Care or equivalent.A full driving license and access to your own vehicle is required, as you will travel countywide within Northamptonshire.&nbsp;We will offer a comprehensive induction to the successful candidate.This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate, at our cost.
