The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is reappointing his cohort of Mayor’s Design Advocates.
The Mayor of London is seeking independent built environment experts to join the Mayor’s Design Advocates (MDAs) cohort. MDAs play a crucial role in supporting the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.london.gov.uk/programmes-strategies/shaping-local-places/advice-and-guidance/about-good-growth-design" target="_blank">Good Growth by Design (GGbD) programme</a>, influencing Mayoral decisions, steering policies and advocating for high-quality, sustainable development across London.
Good Growth is the Mayor’s guiding principle for the built environment and sets the direction of the London Plan and all related Mayoral decisions, investments, strategies and policies. Good Growth acknowledges that Londoners will not accept growth at any cost. Growth of our built environment must be socially and economically inclusive, physically accessible and environmentally sustainable.
The programme draws together and promotes efforts being made across the Greater London Authority Group to support quality and inclusion in the built environment. With the support of the Mayor’s Design Advocates, it has had major successes: setting standards for excellence, extending the practice of design review, and supporting cross-industry action to make the built environment sector more diverse and representative. This programme is calling upon the architecture, design, planning, built environment and sustainability sectors to support Good Growth in London.

Key Responsibilities:

Eligibility:
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;You must be eligible to have the right to work in the UK.
·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A commitment of around 3-7 days per year, with a remuneration of £600 per day.
Term of Appointment:

We are looking for a results focused and enthusiastic individual with a desire to contribute to the continuing success of Tranquil Spa and Salt Ayre leisure centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of treatments to clients and ensuring the highest standards of customer service are always delivered to our valued customers. We expect you to be able carry out reception duties when required and adhere to a cleaning regime in order to maintain a clean and tidy Spa and treatment area. The post holder is required to have relevant qualifications including a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Beauty.
The Spa Facility includes three treatment rooms, two nail bars, spray tanning and a thermal suite offering the UK’s first water mill sauna, a herbal sauna, salt inhalation steam and aromatherapy steam rooms
This role is permanent. Hours of work are 37 hours per week on a rota basis to suit the needs of the business. This will include evenings and weekends.&nbsp;

You will act as a key liaison between the Council and property providers to ensure we build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, agents, and property owners to increase the supply of available temporary housing. In this role you will carry out inspections of properties in order to assess their suitability for households in housing need and ensuring that all properties meet Health and Safety requirements and legislation. You will also help expand and diversify our existing TA supplier list and establish new supply of emergency accommodation service providers negotiating best prices and obtaining value for money. All About you You will have a GCSE ‘A’ Level, or NVQ Level, or have equivalent experience of working in a busy housing environment. An understanding of Housing Act 1996 Parts VI and VII along with the ability to draw upon relevant housing caselaw are essential. An understanding of the Council’s Housing Allocations Scheme is also expected. The postholder will be based at 5PS, however, the nature of the role will require you to undertake visits and inspections to properties located within and outside Camden borough. Some home working may be available in agreement with your line manager.
