We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Licensing Officer to join our small but busy team. &nbsp;Your full range of duties will include enforcing the relevant provisions under the Licensing Act, Gambling Act, street trading/collections, hackney carriage/private hire, scrap metal dealers, and animal welfare.&nbsp; You will be carrying out site visits and licensed premises inspections, you will therefore need your own car to get around the district.
You will be enthusiastic, committed, self-motivated and have a positive attitude. You must be an excellent communicator with sound time management skills and be confident in dealing with members of the public.&nbsp; You must be able to demonstrate your ability to adapt to changing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
On a typical day, you would:

<li>Determining licensing applications and inspecting premises.</li>
<li>Inspecting vehicles to be licensed.</li>
<li>Responding to licensing related service requests, providing advice and investigating allegations of breaches of licensing conditions.</li>

Sessional Emergency Response Worker
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a multi-skilled team to provide an out of hours, emergency response for Wirral children, young people and families.
This role will suit those who wish to utilise their existing skills and build their experience whilst supporting children and families in a wide range of crisis/emergency situations.
You will be supporting and safeguarding children and families providing crisis intervention across Wirral to prevent further escalation. You may work alongside external professionals such as police, NHS.

This is a casual post to work as and when required, including out of hours. 
The ERW coordinator will allocate work to ERWs who are available to meet the demands of the service. Some ERWs work through the night but this is not required of all the ERWs, evening and weekend sessional work is available and allocated across the team.

Previous experience of working in a school environment is preferred but not essential and training/supervision will be given.

Key responsibilities:

<li>You will need to hold a Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (England) or be willing to complete this within the first two years of employment. If you hold a Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (England) you will have the opportunity to progress to a Senior post at the end of your Probation Period and after successful completion of the Competence needed.</li>
<li>Experience in working with children, preferably in a residential setting.</li>
<li>Ability to work with young people and their families where there are complex needs or dynamics</li>
<li>Commitment to delivering non-oppressive practice</li>
<li>Ability to work the required shift patterns, to include evening and weekend working.</li>
