    About us
Camden is building a borough where everyone can thrive. We’re committed to creating opportunities for children and young people to be active, confident and healthy, and our Sport & Physical Activity Service plays a vital role in achieving this.

    The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Sports Coach to support the delivery of high-quality sports and physical activity sessions for children and young people. You will lead and supervise sessions as part of a friendly and welcoming team, ensuring a safe, inclusive and engaging environment at all times.

Based primarily at Talacre Sports Centre, you will help deliver recreational and squad-based sports sessions, support young people to develop their skills and confidence, and contribute to a positive customer experience for participants and families. You will be responsible for the safe use and storage of equipment, maintaining accurate attendance records, and supporting activities at competitions, events and training sessions where required.

    About you
You will be passionate about sport and working with children and young people, with the ability to deliver engaging sessions that encourage participation and development. You will have a Level 2 British Gymnastics qualification, or be working towards it, alongside relevant practical experience.

You will be reliable, approachable and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, customer care and professionalism. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential, as is a willingness to support events, competitions and training outside of normal sessions when needed.
