Assistant Youth Worker (Ashby Youth Club)

Are you passionate about working with young people and wanting to pursue a career in things such as youth work, social work or teaching?

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Youth Worker to join our team. As an Assistant Youth Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in your community. This is a rewarding role that requires passion, creativity and the ability to connect with young individuals. All youth centres plan using the National Youth Agency’s Youth Work Curriculum which gives young people an opportunity to experience a wide range of activities.

Whilst helping shape the lives of young people, you could also shape your own career gaining vital experience and skills.

Working time: 2 hours 30 minutes hours per week; Thursdays 5.30pm to 8pm

We are looking for a person who:

• Is energetic, inspiring and an excellent role model
• Has skills or interests in art, music/DJing, cookery or sport
• Can talk with young people in an open and honest manner
• Can follow instructions and work under the direction of a Project Youth Worker
• Wants to make a local difference by helping children, young people and families
• Is great at talking to people and engaging them in activities and conversations
