Job Details
Salary: £15,727 - £17,017
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 2-3 days per week Term Time Only plus two weeks
Location: Crawley

Are you passionate about helping young people shape their futures? If so St Wilfrid’s is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and confident Careers Co-Ordinator to join our Careers Team. St Wilfrid's Catholic School is a welcoming and inclusive school located in Crawley, West Sussex, committed to providing high-quality education and support to all our students. We are currently seeking a motivated Careers Co-Ordinator to join our Careers team.
While previous experience in providing careers advice would be beneficial, we’re ultimately seeking the right person. Strong organisational and communication skills, along with a flexible, adaptable attitude, are essential however if you haven’t worked in a careers-focused role before, you may have valuable transferable skill so please take a look at the job description. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and have a desire to empower students to explore a wide range of career pathways.
What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role you will need:
- The ability to work in a team and to be flexible to the needs of the school (E)
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately even when under pressure (E)
- Willingness to adapt to changing needs and circumstances (E)
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the confidence to work effectively with staff, students and parents (E)
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills including the ability to work to deadlines and the flexibility to take on new tasks as they arise (E)
- Commitment to staff welfare, including being understanding, supportive and able to maintain confidentiality (E)

- Experience of working in a school environment (D)
