Commissioning Project Officer

What will your day look like?

You will support the development of strategies, service plans and transformation programmes that improve the outcomes for local people. You will work collaboratively to plan, implement and evaluate those programmes to shape and improve services across the sector. This will include engagement work with individuals, carers, partner organisations and the public to coproduce and develop person centred commissioning solutions that reflect local needs and priorities. You will monitor the performance and quality of health and social care contracts, analyse data and intelligence and prepare reports to inform decision making. Working closely with providers, you will help identify and address challenges, manage risks and drive continuous improvement to ensure local people receive high quality, safe and effective care and support.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and proactive professional with a background in project support or management, excellent data analysis, interpretation, report writing and presentation skills. A good understanding of the commissioning cycle, relevant legislation, governance and contract monitoring. You will have strong communication and IT skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have a commitment to continuous improvement, delivering positive outcomes along with the ability to work on your own initiative, negotiate, influence and solve problems.
